I like to spritz some febric freshener or even my favorite cologne on my vac bag before I clean. It gives off a fresh scent and helps with pet odors that may be in the bag.

Putting things in the vac bag to help control odors is another reason bagged vacs are better than bagless ones. You'd have to dig in the trash for the cones, or whatever you put in, every time you empty the container. And there's not anywhere to spray it.

I'll take  the wicks from the plug in air fresheners and pop them in the bag...works great....also wire them on my ac air intake filter.

You could probably even buy those scented cones or other air freshners made for cars And put them in the vacuum bag.

THis is a very good idea. I have used the powder carpet freshers before and I don't like how they clog up your vacuum. I have in the past stuck a dryer sheet in the filter.
