This little gem will always be used in my home and in our two vacation cabin rentals in the country. Hardwood floors, vinyl, couches, even lightweight carpets are handled marvelously by the Featherweight. Great for walls as well. The large floor nozzle stays on the floor doing it's job when you push it under beds or low furniture. The crevice tool is shaped at an angle so that you can get into a corner. Newer models are squared off and not as efficient. Plenty of power to pull crumbs from between floorboards.
The Featherweight helps me do my job easily and perfectly. You will love it too.

I'm impressed with how this little vacuum picks up dirt on my tile floor and on carpeted areas. Easy to clean and does stairs great too. The only improvement would be if it had a little longer cord.

works well to bad its not cordless, and its a shame that the cords contain lead you should wash your hands after use, just purchased this vac thinking about returning it because of the lead exposuer

I have also found it to be useful in a myriad of situations, both overhead, and on the floor. It is simple , light and quick. In addition to cobwebs, cat sand, and screens, I have now found it very useful for picking up my hair BEFORE I use my new upright. My hair is down to my waist and it's everywhere so it gets caught in the the beater bar of the upright and I have to stop to cut my hair out every time I smell the rubber belt burning. I just do a quick once over with the FeatherWeight and then am able to use my upright for the deep clean. I clean the dirt cup of the FeatherWeight by removing the handle and placing the whole unit in a plastic bag. I then separate the dirt cup from the motor, empty it into the bag, and with rubber examination gloves, clean the filter. I then take a disinfectant cloth to clean the cup inside and out, dry it with a paper towel, and put the vacuum back together. I remove my gloves, dump them into the plastic bag, and very carefully tie the handles of the bag so I don't get a faceful of dust, and dump in trash bucket.

I love my lightweight Bissell! It sucks up hair from 6 cats, the litter scattered about and the bits of food all over my kitchen floor! MY problem is I don't vacuum often enough, but that's me. The dirt cup is easy to empty and I love the design, popping off the bottom or the handle and you've got a handheld. The only thing is I wish it had a better edge cleaner. But I still love it! Now if only I could teach the cats how to use it, it would be purrfect!

I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment in NYC. I am also over 40 and always looking for solutions to get rid of the broom and mop to make cleaning easier and more convenient. This little vac handled that perfectly. It is not too loud and great for storage. It works like a charm. Absolutely great on hard floors. We have even used the crevice tool to clean the desktop computer. I do not use it on the area rugs I use a Bissel sweeper for those.

I have 3 of these vacuums (one for each level of my house and the garage). Love it since it is very lightweight and easy to use. My only negative is the "bagless" feature is rather messy when emptying the container. Works great on both hard surfaces and low pile rugs.

I got acquainted with the the feather lite vacuum with a customer. I liked it well enough to make my own investment in buying my own unit. I have people with pets and if you have ever tried to sweep up the hair, cat hair first and foremost, is very hard to keep it from going everywhere so I felt it might work on floors for that purpose. I have tried the Swiffer vac as well as other battery operated vacs and found that they couldn't do the job. They ended up leaving dirt behind and I had to use a broom anyway. With the Bissell feather-lite vac if it is not picking up it is because it is full but otherwise it picks up all I need it to. I am a very satisfied with my Bissell Feather-lite vac and I have all ready purchased about 3 or 4 and with all I put them through cleaning anywhere between 8 to 12 houses a week every week and they have stood up to the rigorous tasks I put on them. I will keep buying this product because it has become a very important tool for me in my business.

I have two of these and I will be getting a third one, they are so handy! We have seven little dogs, no carpeting and I vacuum my whole house with this machine every day. It is also great for quick clean ups! It goes under furniture which is a great feature. It is amazing the dirt and hair it picks up and it weighs so little. Please never stop making this great machine.

The feather weight has a lot of suction for vaccuming apolstery.
Cord is a little short. The cord wrap could be designed a little different. That is like it is on other vacs where the hook folds down.

I bought this in mind for our tile and lamenate floors. We love it and the price was right. It does the job intended, picking up dog hair, dirt, small particles. We no longer take out our upright vacum to clean our house since we do not have rugs on our floors here in AZ.
I would highly recommend this product, it has plenty of vacum power. I would recommend though that Bissell ponder adding a detachable brush head, and possibly consider lining the vac with a bag to avoid dust from leaking out. It is worth the purchase. Thanks for listening. Joe N. Chandler AZ

i recently purchased the bissel feather weight vacuum to clean up after a child i watch, i was constantly getting my large vacuum out every day and sometime a couple times a day. this vacuum helps to make the job easier because it is light weight and picks up the mess of crumbs and dirt . very happy with it so far.

What a pleasure to have a sweeper with a good old fashioned cord, powerful and no fading halfway through the job, and no expensive batteries to replace.
The only thing needed is a better way to release the stored cord from the unit, maybe a turn button of some kind.
But the power and dependability make up for the cord!

This is my second FeatherWeight Vacuum from Bissell, and I can truly say, I love it. I have back problems and this is so light weight that I can vacuum my linoleum and hardwood floors easily. I hope I can always be able to purchase this product. Thanks, Bissell.

We have taken this unit to Brasil, where we've found it very useful, as we did the first one we purchased. Easy to use, easy to store, and is used practically every day here. The first one is about 7 yrs old and except for a broken plastic part, is in use daily. For light to medium house-cleaning I don't think it be beaten!

I am so impressed with this product that I will surely
recommend it to anyone even if you need and have one of the larger cleaners. In baths, kitchen, auto, boat, this little machine works very well. One thing is you need to clean the filter at least every 2nd use. Also, the cord is short but I took care of that with a good extension cord. I have been using mine for about 2 years and no real complaints.

The prior model works better than this . This does not sucks up dirt quickly n the hair comes up all together outside the suction part . For short the hair does not suck all the way inside. Also there is a very tiny small rubber particles that comes out of the hole I did not check where it is comin from. The older model before this works fine but not this .
