I have always had bissell cleaning products, I just inherited an old house and the carpets were horrible, but this deep cleaning system cleaned it wonderfully, it looks like new. I have always been happy with bissell cleaning machines. I am 67 and it is easy to work with. The only thing bad I can say is the tanks could be bigger, need to change quite often, but does a marvelous job.

Just finished cleaning all the carpets in the house. Not only did I save money but more important I was able to clean certain areas over a weeks time that allowed us to move around the house as usual. Easy to operate the mahine and it did a good job.

It is hard to keep carpeting clean, especially right after a Chicago Winter.
Even though I had my carpeting professionally cleaned six months ago, it was now especially dirty, the living room in particular. Since I figured the cost of the Bissell was equivalent to two professional cleanings, I decided to take a chance, but was not expecting much.
So I got my machine. It took five minutes to assemble and I was ready to go. I did four passes. One each way with the sprayer on, two without to pick up the water.
On a three bedroom ranch, it took me just a little over an hour, including water refills and changes. I only used the little 8 oz bottle of cleaning solution sample that came with the machine, so I do not foresee a huge expense per cleaning in the future.
The machine picks up water real good. When I was done, the carpeting felt only a little damp. I turned on the ceiling fans (but outside doors closed) and within twelve hours the carpeting was completely dry!
As far as the cleaning itself, I feel it looked as good or better than the professionals. I was really impressed and totally surprised!
Next, I will try it on my sofas...

Thank you so much for having the common sense to develop a unit that is absolutely user friendly and is portable by a person that is over 50 years old-I had a unit made by another very reputable company that did an acceptable job at steps and upholstery, but I dreaded the fact that when I committed to the task I would have what I considered a "Weight Lifting" experience...The lift off unit is the most intelligently thought out appliance that I have ever owned. Thank You Research and Development!!!

I RECENTLY HAD TO PLACE MY OLD BISSELL DEEP CLEANING MACHINE ON THE CURB, IT JUST STOPPED RUNNING.
I DID QUIT A BIT OF RESEARCH AND I HAD NARROWED IT DOWN TO THE LIFT OFF DEEP CLEANING MACHINE, AND THE PET VERSION.
OUR HOME HAS THE ORIGINAL CARPET THAT WAS INSTALLED WHEN THE HOME WAS BUILT, SO TO SAY THE LEAST, OUR CARPET WAS IN HORRIBLE CONDITION. THIS MACHINE NOT ONLY GOT YEARS OF STAINS OUT, IE INK, SODA, JUICE, AS WELL AS MANY PET STAINS, IT ALSO BROUGHT THE BEAT DOWN CARPET BACK TO LIFE.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS MACHINE 10 OUT OF 10 TIMES TO MY FRIENDS.

day . Did my recliners, the stair steps cleaned great!
I love the fact that you can remove the canister to do the steps. Did a great job on my carpet. I highly recommend this machine. I feel that I got my money worth not disappointed at all.

I bought my shampooer after using my sister's. I love it! It has done an excellent job on my old carpets. Nothing is going to make them look new but they definitely look better. The only negative would be the shampoo tank which needs to be larger so you don't have to stop and refill so often. We did have a problem when attaching the handle, the screws fell inside the shampooer but we were able to shake them out and attach the handle.

I owned a bissell proheat 2 carpet cleaner and thought that was great. The liftoff is much better and easy to clean. The brushes do get all dirty from the carpet hair which makes, cleaning this from the area a bit difficult but i believe that is the case with all Bissell. I highly reccomend this product is cost me only $217.00 outstanding deal and the warranty is the best 2 yrs. I got my liftoff from Bed Bath and Beyond. Who offer the best service on all their products that you purchase from them.

This machine is so easy to use. I am amazed how much power this unit has. We have pets and everyone should have this machine. The 12 brushes move with ease and removes most of the cleaning solution. The cleaning system has already paid for itself. No more rentals for this family.

For years now I have paid someone else to come in and clean my carpets and couches. Now, no more of that. The pet lift-off cleaner is sooo easy to use and the fact that it has the lift-off mean I can spot clean or take it outside to clean the car. I would have given it a 5 star rating, but I'm confused as to why the liquid cleaners cost so much more on line through Bissell. Would love to one stop shop for this. Thanks again

I just purchased the cleaner 2 weeks ago and cleaned my carpet which is a very light beige and I am the pround owner of a one year old Golden Retriever, her job is to go out and dig up my yard and living here in Oregon she is good at moving the dirt into my house. I used the "lift off" once and my carpet is like new.
Will clean my motorhome when it stops raining. I would have given the machine 5 stars if Bissell could engeneer a rotating brush for the flex hose to give it more cleaning power to clean furniture and those small places in my motorhome

I can not say enough about this product! I have never used a better home cleaner ever! For those who have complained about the tanks being so small, well they are and yes it is tedious to have to empty and fill so often, but the results are well worth the effort!! I couldn't be happier with the results and will never use anything besides a Bissell again! It is super easy to use and I can't wait to tackle my furniture and car upholstery. Nothing better I've found on the market for home use! Hands down, This Bissell has my 5 Star vote!

This is my first Bissell purchase. The product was very easy to operate and did a very good cleaning job on my carpets. I did find that it was somewhat difficult to empty the water canister. There should be a removable cap to make emptying and flushing canister easier.

This is the first Bissell I have owned. My old carpet cleaner gave up after many years of service. I wanted something with a way to get to the car and my two little steps into the den as well. This machine has cleaned the carpets well and with ease. Haven't tried it in the car yet.

Bought this unit to replace our old Bissell unit that quit working. Works well, but has a small capacity for fluids and requires frequent filling and dumping. My wife likes the portability of the removable unit for small jobs and doing the stairs.

I purchase this Cleaning system to replace an older carpet cleaner. This machine is superior! I was thinking of replacing the carpet but now I think if is not need. The carpet looks and feels great! I do indeed love the machine. Thank for such an excellent product.

I LOVE this product so much. It was the only thing that I told my husband that I wanted for Christmas, lol. But then after cleaning a wet spot from potty-training our 2 year old the hose broke away from the hand cleaner part. I do love the ease of changing between upright and portable (excellent for carpeted stairs).
Just wish it would have lasted longer.

We did our living/family room carpet and small 10' hall. We also have two cats with long fur. The carpet was getting some spots due to age as we have not cleaned it for about a year and it is light tan. The system worked very well. I started going to fast but adjusted as I learned the machine. It was not as heavy as a rental one and held a less water and cleaner so I had to refill 4 times. After use I followed the cleaning instructions which may prevent leakage and early wear on the seals I hope. Our results were excellent, we did pre-treat some small areas but most was not treated. We have an area rug in the center of the room under which you could see the color difference when we rolled it up and the area around the rug came as clean as the covered part which is why we rated the unit so high. I do think cleaning after use is key to long life. We are also ordering the Power TurboBrush Hand Tool as it will help remove dander from the furniture. All in all it has solved our floor problem.

I love my new Bissell carpet cleaner , I have used it once a week since I purchased it, not that my carpets are that dirty but because it is so easy to use. The carpets are a little damper than I would like but are dry the next day. Carpets almost look new.

I have owned many steam cleaners and this is the easiest to use and best all around. I only have carpeting left upstairs in my home and was about to rip out carpet and put in hardwood, I borrowed my friends Bissell it cleaned so well my carpet looked new and I went out a got one of my own.

like my bissel but was hoping the detachable unit would hold the instant hot water for steam cleaning my stairs. it only stays hot when you leave the unit attactched

Having raised two kids and now an empty nester with 3 dogs and 3 cats, I have purchased my share of steam cleaners over the years and this one tops them all. The lift-off deep cleaning system exceeded all my expectations! The lift-off feature makes it easy to fit in tight places where a larger upright cleaner would not fit. It's easy to switch between upright and portable use making what used to be a lengthy job quick and easy. The hose easily secures back in place after using the portable unit and the hose tools dig deep into the carpet cleaning those hard to clean stains that have not come clean with previous upright cleaners. The best part, though, is the clean up when the job is done. After use, both the soap/water dispenser unit and the dirty water unit are easy to clean with wide openings to clean out the pet hair, dirt and oily water that have been difficult to remove with previous machines.

We were a bit hesitant to purchase after reading some of the reviews but needed a carpet cleaner. We have been pleased with the cleaner and have not experienced any problems with excess water left behind, water spraying everywhere or having to change the tank too often. We read the instruction manual and followed the directions and our carpet was almost dry after going over an area. It is easy to use, lightweight and gets the job done very quickly. I would highly recommend this cleaner to anyone that is thinking of purchasing one in the near future. You will not be disappointed.

Great for pulling up pet hair. Water retreving suction not as good as it should be. Leaves some moisture and dirt behind. Lite weight and easy to move around. Cleaning solution needs to be refilled often.

This is MY FAVORITE! I have 4 bdr, 4 kids, hubby, 2 dogs, a living room, a study, 2,400 sq feet. This thing worked like a champ! My first Bissell had the drying vents on the side and the spot shot. I traded it in for a Kirby (big mistake). The Kirby works as a great vacuum and everything else it does, but it's a terrible shampooer. My #3 and #4 Bissells gave it up after being lent out. Needless to say this new baby isn't being lent out EVER! I LOVE the new water tanks. I love the fact that the soap uses less than the other models. The handheld is nice and light. I paid for Stanley Steemer and they only did 3 rooms and the stairs and cost me more than my new Bissell! Great job Bissell!!!! I LOVE IT!!!

1. Way too loud. Like a jet airplane.
2. Water canister way too small.
3. It left hair and nasty stuff all over my carpet, and no I should not have to go back and sweep it up afterwards . That's this machines job in the first place.
4. The water doesn't get any hotter than the temp of the water that comes from my hot water tap. I checked the temp .
5. The price is too high for no more good than this thing does.
6. I have paid a lot less for shampooers that performed exactly how they were supposed to.
THIS THING IS A BIG JOKE AND IF IT WASN'T REQUIRED TO GIVE AT LEAST 1STAR IT WOULDN'T GET THAT

I am just now getting back to normal life after a hip replacement. I bought this machine after doing much research and because I have owned other shampooers. I have 5 bedrooms, 2 baths , a huge living area, as well as a dining room to shampoo. I was able to clean my carpets with ease. The lift off cleaner is amazing and the machine as a whole is not as heavy to use as others I have had. I love it and highly recommend it.

My cleaner is a replacement for an older older Bissell which provided much satisfaction, but true to form, nothing is forever.
In searching for an adequate description of my new unit the best I seem to be able to do is WOW!
So many subtle improvements. Easy to use, a breeze to clean and such dirty water! And to think I pride myself in the cleanliness of my bachelor pad. Hard to believe so much grime came from my thought to be clean carpets.
You guys have a most user friendly web-site and market a fine product. Keep up the good work.
