I purchased this after much research. I had used another model cleaner about 6 months ago and it began to leak so this is the replacement. I was astounded at the change in my carpet color. I actually read and followed the instructions and it made a LOT of difference in the machine's performance. Many old stains did come out.
I like the separate tanks and the larger size of the dirty tank. The ability to just remove the tanks helps with the weight factor. Then the beauty of being able to take just the tanks to an area is the icing on the cake. The large unit is not too hard to maneuver. Since I've had neck surgery and have back problems, that is saying a lot.

I was using my new Bissell, that I just purched the day before, when I took a break to go downtown for the Christmas celebration. While I was downtown I recieved a phone call that my house was on fire. When I was able to get into the home to assest the damage most everything was gone, and I had no Renters Insurance. I had bought a 50 inch. TV that melted and the Bissell was sitting next to the TV and no damage, did not melt, and works! I am now rebuilding, starting over, lost everything. I have my Bissell and I love it. I can't believe it but true storie.

This carpet cleaner works great. I had cleaned my carpets about a week prior to purchasing this cleaner with my old carpet cleaner. I was amazed by how much better the carpet looked after using the new machine! It really must have done a deeper clean!

We bought this to replace our 7 year old Hoover, it was the best thing ever! Using this with the bissell cleaner, made our carpets look like new again. It even removed the old stains and dirt that we couldn't see. You wont be disappointed. The lift off to make it portable is great. Easy to remove, use and put back with no problems. The steps look fantastic again. Love this machine!

We have removed carpet from every room in our home except our sunroom because we felt we never got them clean no matter what we did. We decided to try to keep the carpet in the sunroom IF we could find a machine that would take out the stains from our Lhasa Apso's before they were housebroken. So I did some research and found the Bissel had some great reviews. I purchased the shampooer designed especially for pets, brought it home and used it the next day. We were amazed how well it worked! Literally removed the stains that were a year old that I have tried & tried to get out!! It renewed the carpet in that room and it looks great again!! I have no regrets on my purchase and we will definitely keep the carpet in the sunroom now.

Just got the machine two days ago and used it this morning. I love it. I have a sunken Living Room with a step the whole width of the room. Never could get the step clean. The lift off spot cleaner worked so great and the step is now really clean. I'm very happy with my investment of this machine.

This is by far the best carpet cleaner. It does have a small clean water tank, but it keeps the water warm and it does a wonderful job. I especially like that the carpets dry quick. The Bissell pet stain & odor really takes out the stains and with the scotchgard, really made for easy wipe-up for a spill, after the carpet was clean. I also love the fact that this machine is very easy to take apart to clean, having pets there is a lot of hair.

Love the way it cleaned my 20 year old carpets!! With 3 dogs in the house i shampoo often, so the lift off part is great. I have not had any of the problems in the other reviews and will tell anyone what a great product it is!!

I have trouble walking up and down the stairs, This product is so convenient for me! I dont have to lift the hole machine up/down stairs. I just lift up the portable unit and it can be taken anywhere. Great great great!!!

After reading all these reviews, I decided to purchase one today. I was super excited to use it. I followed the instructions and put it together (super easy by the way). All you need is a screwdriver and the 4 screws (which is included). I turned it on and let it heat for 1 minute as instructed in the manual. But for some reason, it wasn't spraying anything. So I tried to use the portable carry, it worked. I don't know what happened with the other part but I'm not planning on cleaning my entire house on my knees with the portable carry. So I will be returning it tomorrow. So disappointed. Hopefully they have another one so I can see the results on my carpet that everyone is raving about.

I had 2 friends tell me how great this rug cleaner is, 1 said she wished she had gotten the one with the heater, so I did. I LOVE IT! I was totally amazed that it got the old pet stains from our puppy out, they were at least 8 months old.

I cant believe how easy it was to use the rung cleaner and how clean it got my carpets. Prior to this new machine I have had another bisselll rug cleaner for 8 years and was very happy with the cleaner too. But the new improvement since are out of this world. I almost want to clean my carpets every month. The new bissell is light,and easy to use . Carpets are not a soggy mess and come out looking like new. Another new feature is that you can take pieces of the cleaner and get all the gunk from cleaning your carpets out (wonderful addition}.

Did whole house all three levels and looked like we had new carpet! Visiting relatives commented on how good carpet looked. Took much less time to use than my 25 year old Big Green Machine because of it's wider path and rolling brushes.

I was hesitant to purchase this machine after a previous bad experience with a Bissell carpet shampooer several years ago. After much deliberation, I decided to give it a chance, thinking the newer machines had to be better quality.
I was so disappointed when I used my machine today for the first time. The lift off part is hard to attach. No matter how many times I removed and reattached, it seems to come loose again while the machine was in motion, causing the machine to malfunction. We were constantly having to push down on it to reattach it.
I also had issues with the suction. I shampooed approx. 800 sq feet of carpet. At the end, I had around 1 cup of water in the dirty water tank. We went over the carpet several times to try and pull out more water to no avail. I speculate that was probably due to a poor connection of the lift off part as well, though I don't know that for certain. We tried reattaching it several times to see if it would correct the problem, but it never did.
I think that the Bissell Lift off concept is fabulous. I loved the idea of being able to use it on furniture or our vehicles, as well as for our carpets. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like the product was very user friendly or very effective at cleaning our carpets. However, with all the great reviews...maybe we just got a lemon.

I just used my new Bissel cleaner for the first time Yesterday, and I have to say I love it! It was as easy as running the vaccum cleaner. My carpets look new again. Even the area where our dog insists on moving his food dish to in order to eat, he actually picks the dish up himself and moves it onto the carpet, needless to say the carpet was getting a number of stains in that area.
Filling and emptying the tanks was a breeze!
I was amazed at how quickly the carpets dried. I would buy this cleaner again in a heartbeat.

The very best carpet cleaner we have ever owned. With, several dogs, we are able to keep our carpets spotless and fluffy. The new 12 brush system really makes a difference in the amount of dirt that is extracted. The Bissell cleaning solution makes the carpet smell fresh and clean- no pet odors after cleaning. I was amazed at how much better the new Bissell outperformed the earlier models. Would highly recommend!

Overall the cleaning result are acceptable; however, Bissell has identified this as a cleaner for pet owners and has neglected to solve the main pet owner issue - animal hair. After using the carpet cleaner it is extremely difficult to clean before storage. Pet hair is matted behind the intake cover and the beater bar, etc. This remaining debris needs to be cleared from the cleaner or it will dry and become a detriment to the longterm usability of the cleaner (a previous clean that we owned had a shortened lifetime because we failed to clean out such debris). Removing the leftover animal hair requires partial dismantaling of the cleaner using basic hand tools. It is not difficult but it is time consuming and Bissell could apply some basic engineering to make these parts easily removable without tools. Covers and beater bar assemblies could be made to lock in place with simple quarter turn latches that would reduce the "after use" clean up work requirement and greatly improve the customer friendly design of the product. I would give the "Lift-off Pet Deep Cleaner" an "A+" for carpet cleaning and a "C" for user friendly maintenance/clean-up. Plus the name is sort of silly, it doesn't really deep clean pets : )

I am a carpet cleaner by trade. My primary upholstery/stairs portable was out of service and I had a job to do. In haste I purchased the bissell lift-off just for the portable to do a customer stairs. To my surprise, I was totally blown away at the results and ease of use.
Bissell this is your best machine to date. It was cheaper to purchase this than to repair my primary upholstery machine. I am seriously considering making my bissell my primary upholstery /stair machine. My opinion of Bissell Products has changed completely.

The cleaner was very easy to use and did a good on our carpet. I especially liked the removable pet stain cleaner, not for pet stains, I used it for the stairs and it did a great job. Glad we purchased the the Lift-Off Pet Deep Cleaner.

I always have the carpets steam-cleaned once a year. I had to wait until mid-summer as the carpet cleaners use so much water that it takes a day to dry. I purchased this steam cleaner a year ago and have never had to pay for carpet cleaning again. It is so easy to use and leaves the carpets significantly drier than the cleaning service does. It does a great job.

I had been borrowing my parents hoover rug cleaner for several years and finally got tired of lugging back and forth. I used a 20% off coupon for Bed Bath Beyond and purchased this unit. Its rotating roller brushes are far superior to the Hoover's which resembled 3 "scrubbing bubbles" and worked off of suction power to spin them. They didn't spin well at all. The Bissell was constant power and the fact that it continues to heat the solution really makes a difference in cleaning. I had a stain from a steel door on the carpet by the entrance that the Hoover only blended after many cleanings. The Bissell removed it first shot. I also have a room just for my cats and I use a dyson animal vacuum which has always done a great job. I was taken back at how much hair was deeply embedded that the dyson didn't pick up. It was enough to make another kitten. The only downfall is the solution tank is smaller than I was used to. Not a big deal, and this unit does pull almost all the solution back out. Use slowly and carpets will be dry very quickly. Cleanup is just as fun as any other carpet cleaner. Not fun, but expected. Three screws will allow you to almost completely disassemble the unit and a sink sprayer will remove all cat/dog hair to get it like new again. So far overly pleased with this this purchase and absolutely recommend it especially if you get it on a 20% off deal.

We have 2 dogs so keeping are carpets clean is a must. This machine is not heavy at all. I cleaned all the carpet in no time .This is so worth the money.I used Stanley Steamers four times a year. For the price they charged me .The Bissell did a much better job I didn't have to pay the extras.My carpets were almost dry. I give this cleaner a 5 star.

I have always use bissell products. and I am never disppointed. I have 2 little dogs. and one of them has a habit of urinary in one spot of my carpet that drive me crazys. but the 2 in 1 is soo cool. it make my home so easy to clean. if you have pets, you will not be disppointed with this machine. Excellent investment. We live on the lake. I have a bucket at each door for everyone to wash their feet before entering. After using the Bissel for the first time, I was amazed at all of the sand it pulled out of the carpet. I had my carpets professionally cleaned 8 months ago! It also worked fantastically on the boat snap out carpet. The boat carpet looks brand new. This unit was simple to put together and is very easy to use. You should also try Bissell's Sweep,Steam, Mop. This unit really does vacuum, steam and mop! I love the feel of a nice clean floor! Again, no sand!

Two small children, cat, and dog. I am Extremely happy with this machine. After a wild stomache flu virus ripped through my home. My Bissell lift off had the biggest work out. I was able to attack ANY issue ANY where; carpets, rugz, sofa, mattress. I am very proud of my purchase, it does a great job. Thank you for making my mom job easier.

Over 1 year ago my Bissell ProHeat died---had it for many years & never had any problems. Since we have a dog that is the entire opposite of "Good" a carpet cleaner was a must. I thought I should look into the deep cleaners that were on the market in case something better was out there; I settled on a very high-priced H****r Plat***m! At first #literally# the cleaner seemed to do a great job. Then it was all down hill every use afterward, with problems such as leakage, spinning brushes which would fall out, the computer circuit showing no suction even though it was strong, & #most remarkably# screws rusting all over the housing. I had enough of high-priced junk even though it carried a strong warranty; imagine if I didn't clean it after every use #not easy because of it's design# & dry it out!
Another accident by our loved pup led me to go out & get another Bissell. I checked my options, picking out this model. I used it this morning, day after purchase, & remembered why I loved my old one! The machine thoroughly cleaned the stains in much fewer passes than the H***** #two swipes#; the machine really sucked up the solution from the carpet, leaving the carpet "brighter" than the other; & the machine was much easier to manuver! Also, giving the time to allow the solution to draw into the waste tank I had MUCH LESS drippings on my hardwood floors when I shut the machine off!
Of course I could not stop there---I had to try the lift off portion on some streaks the pup left yesterday on a mauve-grey rug in our sitting room. I could not believe how well the hand tool worked! The marks came right up, as well as did the waste solution, leaving the areas quite dry! A lot of strength for a hand unit! This was a first for me, since even my old Bissell's attachments did not do as well for the task! Cleaning the unit afterwards was also a snap---so easy I went back over it, thinking I must have forgotten something!
Now on to the auto carpet....!
