BISSELL Helps Volunteers To Give Ronald McDonald House® Worldwide A Sparkling Spring Clean

RMHC LargeGRAND RAPIDS, May 16, 2009 – Families across America have spring cleaning fever, and on May 16, BISSELL Homecare, Inc., the floor care innovator, will lend a cleaning hand to families in need, as company employees volunteer their time to clean West Michigan’s Ronald McDonald House.

As part of the annual Spring Clean Up Day, BISSELL volunteers will scour, scrub and vacuum the home from top to bottom with approximately $1,000 worth of BISSELL-donated cleaning products. To help maintain the environment for Ronald McDonald House families all year round, the House will also receive a year’s supply of BISSELL household cleaning supplies, including vacuums, carpet cleaners and general cleaning products.

In addition to the West Michigan House, 182 Ronald McDonald Houses and their communities will participate in the Spring Clean Up Day from March through May, including Houses in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Hong Kong. Each House will receive the same donation of cleaning supplies from the experts at BISSELL. Down under, an additional 13 Houses in Australia will also host cleaning events in September, when their spring season occurs.

"As a family-owned company, BISSELL understands the impact the home environment can have on the families, and is proud to donate products to make the lives of Ronald McDonald House guests just a little bit easier," says Jim Krzeminski, BISSELL's executive vice-president and chief customer officer.
