Clearing a Clog - Cleanview Vacuum

Low suction or poor pick-up may be due to a clog in the vacuum cleaner. If you notice a change in the sound of the motor or a reduction in the spinning action, check for clogs.

First, remove the Easy Empty dirt tank from the vacuum and discard all dirt and debris.  Next, remove the inner cyclone from the Easy Empty dirt tank and check for debris build-up or clogs in the upper tank. While you have the dirt tank and cyclone removed, check the suction inlet for clogs as well.
If you are still experiencing loss in suction check your hose and intake areas for possible clogs.  Remove the hose wand from the base, and check for a clog in the wand or base. Next, use a long, narrow object such as the crevice tool or a broomstick to clear away obstructions along the length of the hose. Do not use sharp objects such as clothes hangers, as they may puncture the hose.

You can clear the lower hose by removing the screw attaching the hose wand base to the vacuum. Straighten the hose wand base and check for clogs. Be sure to install the screw before vacuuming.
