I agree with the others about the on/off switch being way too low. The hose is stiff, but it has to be made heavy I asume because EVERYTHING you sucks up goes thru it. (If you accidentally suck up a bit of glass if the hose were thin and super flexible it would be shredded. ) Great vacuum for the price.

Great suction almost as good as a shop vac i just don't like the short stiff hose when you try to use it the vacuum falls over and you get bonked in the head with the handle i also don't like where the on off switch is it should be higher up at the handle not down on the body where its hard to reach

So, I cannot recommend this product.
Can't find a local Vacuum dealer that has the part in store, so we're without for at least a week and the cost keeps increasing. Probably don't have paper work to establish that it is in warranty ... hassles ...

This is my third Bissell in 15 years, so I am very happy with the machine's performance and bagless technology. I am having trouble operating the cleaning parts of this machine:"CleanView". I have trouble removing the canister and esp. the washable filter pop-=off top. I have 4 dogs so I really need to keep operating almost daily!

Powerful, efficient and an exceptional value. I especially love the upholstery attachment and its rotating brush. It is powerful and lightweight with a long power cord. Love this vacuum!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Clean & Steam Queen Lightweight & a long cord for several rooms at once
This vacuum has great suction and pick up. It is lightweight so it is easy to clean up a room in a jiffy. I only buy Bissell products so now I have a steam cleaner and have 2 vacuums. I have small dogs so I have the Pet Vacuum for going throughout the entire house, and then, I bought this new lightweight one for just easy pick up & it is as easy as running a tiny sweeper but has much more power. I have carpal tunnel, so I enjoy using this new one and it is not hard on my hands and wrists. If I am going to take the time and effort to clean the house, I want it to be really clean, and with Bissell, I know it is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bullwick Very good vacuum for the money...
It has a modern attractive design and works very well. What's nice that many parts are washable a dryable. That saves a buck.
Too bad nobody came with a a design of the post-motor filter which would be also washable...People who designed this vacuum should have considered:
A) 2 switches - ,one for a brush, & another one for a vacuum motor
B) Position of the switch is too low for a pregnant women & the people with a bad back (37.857 % of potential US customers)
C) It would be nice, if your designers will come up with a cable clamp positioned near top, on side of the vacuum cleaner to hold the cord & prevent cord from getting caught by the brush...
It should be stressed - it works very well, but needs maintenance (cleaning). That's why some people claims it died out... It did not !!! Needs cleaning & it'll be just fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JCha It worked until it died
I unfortunately got this very same vacuum from a relative who bought it for me -cause I kept talking about how good my old Bissell vacuum was and how much I wanted this one- and it worked so wonderfully that I quickly felt in love with it until it died 14 days after I know it must of been a manufacturing defect. I know one product don't reflect the whole company but it's sad for me since is lost money. I wont be able to buy one for a while. the worse thing was that I trusted Bissell because I had bought an small vacuum for christmas and it worked wonderfully so I threw the box away!
