Kitchen Organization
For many families, the kitchen is the place where the most hours of the day are spent. Here are a few tips to keep your kitchen properly organized to help things run smoothly.
Glasses
Store glasses such as stemware by placing every other glass upside down. Be sure to line the shelves so that the rims of the glasses are not touching the bottom of the cabinet.
Bookshelves
Place bookshelves or bookcases in the kitchen as a place to store glassware, cookbooks, canisters, hand mixers or even food. This will also provide handy places to set small appliances.
Pegboard
A pegboard can easily hold gadgets, pots and pans. Decorate the pegboard to match your kitchen's decor.
Communication Center
Arrange a communication center by placing a bulletin board near the telephone, and put up some shelves to hold cookbooks, telephone books, pens, paper and other supplies.
Think about reach
Store items nearby for easy reach. Keep spatulas close to the stove.
Everyday dishes
Store everyday dishes and silverware near the dishwasher or sink.
