Check your filters monthly and wash or replace them when they become dirty -- typically every 3-6 months, depending on the frequency of vacuuming.
Empty your dirt container when it becomes full and check the circular premotor filter in the bottom of the dirt tank. If the filter becomes dirty, twist the filter counterclockwise and lift out to clean. The foam filter layers, along with the pleated circular filter, can both be washed with a mild detergent. Be sure to dry completely before replacing. The other small, washable pre-motor filter is located underneath the dirt container.
Remove this filter when it comes dirty, and wash it with a mild detergent. Dry the filter completely before replacing it in the vacuum. Select “Turbo” models have a post-motor filter located on the front, just below the clear dirt container. Open the filter door and check to see if this filter needs replacing. This filter is not washable and must be replaced. You can find replacement PowerForce filters on BISSELL.com.
