How to get pine sap out of carpet and linoleum?
Answer: For Carpet: Sounds like you need a good carpet cleaning! In order to get the pine sap out of the carpet, I recommend trying Tough Stain Pre-Treat for Carpet and Upholstery. This product will loosen the pine sap. After using this product properly (you will find the instructions on the back of the bottle) use a portable or upright carpet cleaner filled with HOT water to help flush out the extra stain. If there is any discoloration remaining, follow up with OxyPro® Stain Remover for Carpet .
For Linoleum: Make sure to check with the manufacturer of your flooring before steam cleaning. If your flooring allows steam cleaning, you can try steam cleaning your floor with the Lift-Off® Steam Mop™ Hard Surface Cleaner. It includes a detachable steam pod with hose cleans sinks, grout, tile and more. Applying OxyPro® Stain Remover for Carpet and letting it stand overnight might help remove any discoloration from the stains.
