What is the best way to clean a wool rug?
Answer: Be sure to look for a manufacturer’s cleanability code tag. Use on fabrics coded “WS” or “W”. If coded “X” or “S”, do not use. Most wool rugs can be deep cleaned. In fact, the wool rug will not wrap up or clog the nozzle of your deep cleaner. Although, while dragging the deep cleaner over the wool rug, some spots may absorb more water than others and will become more wet than even pile carpet. Use a fan across the rug after deep cleaning to help dry for a couple of hours. To release dirt from the rug, use 2X Professional Deep Cleaning formula or try any of our scented formulas.
