We have used a plastic runner to protect the carpet for a few years now, how do I make it blend so there isn't a huge rectangle lighter spot?

Answer: No need to worry! To get your light beige carpet the cleanest it can possibly be, you’ll want to spray OxyPro® around the discolored area as a pre-treat and let sit for 30 minutes. To protect your carpet from future discoloration, use a formula with Scotchgard™ in it, like 2X Fiber Cleansing Formula. Getting your carpet as clean as possible will help prevent dirt from altering the color, but BISSELL does not make any products to whiten or brighten carpet. We tend to stay away from brighteners because of the potential risk of discoloration to the carpet. However, you can rest assured that any BISSELL upright deep cleaning formula you use on your light beige carpet will not yellow it.
