How can I get dried silly putty out of my carpet?

Answer: Try dabbing the dried silly putty tangled in your carpet with a small amount of vegetable oil or mineral oil. Place the oil on a clean cloth and try pinching and sliding the dried silly putty out of the carpet fibers. The oil will help loosen up the silly putty.  It is important to deep clean after adding oil to your carpet; otherwise the oil spot will become a dirt magnet!
