I sat on my white wool rug with new dark jeans, and the color rubbed off onto the rug. I tried to clean it, but now that it's dry, I see BIG faint yellow spots all over it. What can I do?
Answer: It sounds as though the blue dye from your dark colored jeans may still be remaining in your wool rug, but the components in the blue dye have turned to yellow. To remove the discoloration, apply OxyPro® to the stains as a pre treatment and let it sit for an hour. As a finishing step, deep clean your wool rug with hot water alone to dilute and extract the remaining dye.
