I did or the machine did use way to much soap on couch and chair. When it dry's it turns a whitish color. How do I remove the excess soap?

Answer: Use a portable or upright deep cleaner with warm water only. Rinse back and forth over the affected area until no more foam appears. It’s important to not use any additional formula, just warm water. Watch out for excess foam, you may want to remove excess water as much as possible by emptying the dirty water tank often.
