How can I remove olive oil from carpets?

Answer: This stain sounds worse than it is! BISSELL has several options for removing oil from carpets. The best solution is to extract the olive oil from your carpets by carpet cleaning with an uprightor portable carpet cleaner. It’s important to use a pretreater such as Tough Stain Pre-treat for Carpet & Upholstery directly on the stain to loosen up the oil in your carpets. Then carpet clean using 2X Professional Deep Cleaning formula, the key is to fill your carpet cleaner with hot tap water for best results. Make sure to do several passes over the area to get deep into the carpet.

If anything is left, apply an enzyme action product to the area. Try using Pet Stain & Odor Pre-treat for Carpet & Upholstery, let it sit with a damp towel over the area for at least 24 hours. The enzymes will eat any remaining oil deep into your carpet.
