I am satisfied with this product. I think it did a very good job cleaning the carpet. I wish it would pick up more water, but I used a fan & it dried pretty quick. I love the fact that it has a rinse cycle. This helps get the soap out of the carpet. Overall, I am pleased with it.

I have owned several different carpet machines but this one beats them all. I love the option of using the heat or just keeping the water cold. Hot works best but cold does less damage to my carpets. I have a cockatoo bird, cat, dog and grandchildren and we seem to have accidents alot. I don't mind those accidents any more because I now own the "ProHeat 2X Pet"! Cleans up very quick and easy. The only thing that slow's me down is the small hole in the tank where you add the clean water. This machine even picks up hair that my vacuum cleaner leaves behind. Very good at sucking up the water and debris out of the carpet so carpet dries fast. I really like the performance of the powered TurboBrush tool. Works great.

My next cleaner will be the Select pet. I can only go up from here. This cleaner made our carpets look new again. With kids, Corgis, and Texas dirt on a light beige carpet, I felt like I was setting up a cleaning demonstration. We got a new Bissell Heavy Duty vacuum and then the ProHeat 2X Pet a week later. All I can say is "wow". I did have to pick up some hair wads, but at least the stuff was out of the carpet. To me that just showed how well it was cleaning. To me, having my carpets look new with a house full of Corgi's, some not yet housebroken, is awesome. I would have gotten the Pet Select if I could have squeezed a little more out of my budget, but now I have something to aim for when this cleaner wears out. Thank you, Bissell. Now I can't wait to be able to get a steamer. Commercial, anyone?

Very impressed with this machine. I bought it to clean up after my large dogs occasional "accidents". I ended up cleaning the entire first floor of my home after seeing how well it worked. I cleaned the accident spot and realized how well it actually cleans my carpets.
Now I have read other reviews and other customers frustrations, but I didn't encounter similar problems. I had no issues with suction or dirty water and don't see how you could. You do need to monitor the dirty water level as you clean and I did get some large hair balls I needed to pick up afterwards.(I don't think any vacuum could suck these large wet hair clumps) But like another reviewer these hairballs were coming up after I dry vacuumed the entire area first. This machine was able to pull this additional filth out from the floor and I was pretty impressed by that. I now use this every couple of months and I am constantly amazed and disgusted as how much filth it is able to pull out...honestly its kind of gross seeing how much hair and dirt this pulled out of carpets I clean regularly with a traditional upright vacuum.
All in all I am very satisfied by the value I am getting from this machine and would recommend it for the $$. Again, I see where people can complain about it leaving wet hair clumps behind, but I don't think any vacuum could pull these wet behemoths up and was more impressed the Bissell was able to pull that filth from the carpet. It exceeded my expectations.

I cleaned the largest carpeted area in my home recently which wasn't really worn but had a lot of soiled areas from pets that didn't get completely removed and heavily soiled by the entrance way from the kitchen. I bought the pre-treatment and sprayed all the heavily stained areas first. The carpet looks almost new again except it couldn't remove a discolored area which even the professioal couldn't remove (red food dye?) from old dog food I used to feed my pets. I haven't had any issues with the Pro X and so far have been completely satisfied.I plan on purchasing the attachment for the stairs in the near future.

I researched machines, and this seemed to be what fit my needs the most. Got it home and it was a disaster! Wouldn't suck up water well, didn't clean well, and it seemed like it was way too much headache to clean my carpets. Suction seal broke immediately--returned to store and got a different brand. Maybe it was a lemon, but didn't want to go through it the hassle again!

I hate to say that our carpet is 12 or more years old and never been cleaned. I have vacuumed regulary with good vacuums. We have always had at least 2 dogs in the house with us. At the present we have 6 who share our home with us when they are not outside. We live in the country in the panhandle of Texas where the wind and dirt blows 30+ mph almost every day.
I have only used this product on the carpet in a 17 x4' strip where my sofa, recliner, lamp table, etc. rest. It did a fantastic job. Then I cleaned the dining room carpet that has a path from the utility to the kitchen through it. The path looked worn--now it looks the same as the carpet that rests under the table.
Maybe those who rated this product poorly didn't use it properly--we'll see how it works after it sits in the closet until the next cleaning.

I am on my 3rd. Bissell Carpet Cleaner (I wore the other 2 out). I didn't hesitate getting the Bissell ProHeat 2X this last april when we needed one. I am a 77 yr. old female with a bad back. The only real problem I have is that the dials have been moved down by the tank, where as before they were up on to by the handle (which requires more bending over). I would like the bladded to be bigger, but that might make the machine too heavy to handle. The other thing is that I would like the hose to be a little longer so I didn't have to carry the machine up the stairs to clean the top 3. All in all, I am very happy with the performance and the manuel is very helpful

I have purchased 3 of the ProHeat machines in the last 10 years. It removed a stain in the carpet since we purchased this home. The local rental machines never did the job.

We've only used it on one room, but it's made a huge difference. The built-in heater makes things so easy and the rotating brush is a huge plus!

the carpet scrubber doesn't really clean that well. If I had known how much work it takes to clean with this model I would have paid a professional to come in and clean my carpets instead of purchasing a scrubber.

Initially this steamvac worked great, but the suction wasn't as good as previous models. Now it leaks all over the place, and suction is ok, not great though. I like that it was quieter than previous models, but that's about it.

This steam cleaner was ordered to replace a different Bissell product that was damaged beyond repair during our move. I thought I loved the old steam cleaner until I used this one! My carpet looks better than it did when we moved in, and it had been professionally cleaned then! The features are simple to use. I am confident that our carpet is clean enough for our six-month old to be squirming around on it -- Even to my standards!

We have a dog that frequently vomits from eating too much or eating too fast so a Spot-Bot was terrific for that. After you use a Spot-bot several times in spots you will want this to totally clean-up a larger area. It works as great as the Spot-bot and is very easy to put together and clean also.

This machine cleans very well, I just wish that it held more water. I found myself emptying it quite a bit. I got the bare floor attachment ,It worked well but I have a ceramic tile floor and really expected the machine to srub it and it does not. I did clean my rug stairs and they came out really well. I am happy with this machine

We have a cat and a small dog, I vacummed the rug first, but still could not believe the hair that was picked up while scrubbing the carpet, I found it very easy to use, and to clean up afterwards.

A very light colored carpet we have throughout the house, finally, with our new ProHeat 2x Pet Bissell cleaner, it came clean...looks like new! Between having a new puppy and in a heavy traffic area, it had become brown with ground in dirt even though vacuumed often, but now looks great. Thank you Bissell.

I have a 2 year old - 'nuff said! But seriously, there were so many stains on my carpet. And apparently A LOT of dirt hiding underneath because the few times emptying the water tank out was disgusting! I was shocked to see all the dirt because you really never know how much dirt is hiding under your carpet. This did a fantastic job getting it out PLUS the stains on my carpet from my daughter spilling a lot of things in 2 years. There were pink Pediaure stains which were the worst considering it was a light pink. Had to work a little harder on those stains but this product took them away completely. It also took a sticky mess out from my carpet from another spill my daughter made. Nothing else took that one out!
What I also love is the heater inside. I love how the carpet's aren't soaking wet and I didn't have to wait 24 hours to walk around without wet feet. Another great feature. I have yet to do it on hard floor surfaces which I will be trying out!
I only wish the water tank was a little bigger, but it's not something that would discourage me from buying this product.
I definitely would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great carpet cleaner. So far, so great!

We bought this as we ate trying to train two small dogs. They like the carpet better than their paper. This cleaner really works well on picking up urine stains. I recommend it. The only problem we have is the tanks are small and we are emptying it a lot of times,o

We have had the ProHeat 2X for a couple of months and have been impressed with the overall operation of the machine. With a 8 month old Minature Golden with a bladder problem, the ProHeat 2 has been a life saver. the deep cleaning and short amount of time to dry the areas is outstanding

Got for a christmas present and cleaned every carpet in the house with it. We have large throw carpets ( not wall to wall). This cleaner picked up so much dirt and dog/cat hair that had been there. Carpets are 10 years old and needed a face lift! Brushes were strong .The steam heat option was great and I felt like the carpets really got a good deep cleaning. Purchased the bare floor attachment to do my kitchen floor and wood when needed. Love my Bissell!

I have had many carpet cleaners, Bissells but this one I really like the best. I am over 60 so wanted something not So hard to handle.. this portable feature is wonderful... I can take machine upstairs.. its lighter to move with the 'take apart' feature. It cleans very well, and clean up after the job is a lot easier than the older machines. Bisssell keeps improving, and now I even bought one as a 'gift' for our son who is a pet owner. So it will go on, good machines, great results. Thanks

Bought this a little over a year ago, used it twice. Machine didn't pick up any of the cleaner/water that it put into the carpet. Wadded up the dog hair that was on the carpet, mixed it w/ water/solution/mud and threw it across the room and left large drippy clumps of it on my carpets. Doesn't suck up any of the hair. Turned on the "water rinse" feature to dilute the cleaner left in the rugs, now the machine is jammed in that mode. Motor is shot. Called every repair facility in my area and no one will work on it because they say it's a piece of junk. All agree I should cut my losses and throw it away. NOT HAPPY to have a mudhole in my living room with wet, moldy smelling carpets in the middle of winter! But, that's what this piece of JUNK machine gave me!

Bought this model after buying... and returning a hoover which was DOA. Was surprised to say the least as to how this cleaner removed old stains that I had no expectation of being cleaned. The bissell was up to the task and removed them all. Only thing that I would have liked is a flow gauge to tell me when the clean water tank is empty. Over all am very please with this cleaner and I d recommend it to anyone.
PS- Bissell is an american family owned company which provides jobs here and the product is american made!!
