I have my Bissell also for about a year, everything worked great for a while. I do have pets and it did the job. just recently it started leaving streaks on the carpet and it makes this sound i can't tell where its coming from. I think maybe the motor. It is not a long term use at least this specific model. The cleaning part is a lot of work. overall its not horrible. when it works it does clean well.

So I have had this for a year or more and I have only been able to use it Twice before it tore up and that was just for a spot cleaning. It quit sucking up and leaks all the water on the floor. The only reason I have conitued to try and use it was because The handle still works. It is not worth the money and wouldn't suggest it to any family or friends. I will never by another product of Bissell.

my husband and i were otr truck drivers and had various people taking care of our house and pets for 4 years. needless to say... they didnt take care of the pets potty needs and didnt clean the carpets at all!!! i did have to go over the worst spots about 4 times but my carpet looks brand new again and my house smells so much better!!! the only problem i have with it now is the cleaner solution tank isnt working. i took it apart and cleaned everything but it still is not working.

We purchased a repo house and the former people had a lot of dogs in the house. The dogs had "accidents" on the carpet. I had a professional come in and clean the carpet after I had vacuumed it thoroughly twice. Then I bought my Bissell and rinsed the carpet. I got additional dirt and dog hair out of the carpet. When my neighbor saw the carpet, she said it looked like new carpet. All in all, we saved 4 rooms of carpet. Thank you Bissell. I will also use this on the ceramic tile floors.

I have a steamer cleaner that I purchase about 10 years ago and WOW you come a long way to perfection, this is the best steamer and cleaner I have ever used, and it picks and find real dirt that is deep embedded in the carpet, Wow no more boiling water, you can see clean and smell fresh, the ProHeat lets me know that the job is done the first go round, and the best no more do I have to wait 2 to 3 days for the carpet to dry, this steamer cleaner is the Best the great one

We were very excited to obtain a Bissell 2x Pet.
We have used the older Green Machine for many years with much success. However, we were disappointed in the sucking power of the new machine. It did not do a very good job in getting up the dirty water. I know we did everything right by the instructions but we were not able to clean as expected. Please advise...GM

We had rented a machine from the supermarket every few months, & thought the carpet was just beyond cleaning. I can't believe what a difference the Bissell has made. After just one cleaning, even high-traffic areas were dramatically cleaner. It's simple to use, & far more effective than rental machines.

I didn't expect it to be as good as it is. Cleaned my carpets so good they look new. Redid them with "Spring Breeze" and now my house smells so fresh. I let my neighbor use it; she was looking to buy a shampooer and was so impress with it she went to Target and bought one. I would highly recommend this machine and the cleaning products.

This is the second Bissell cleaner I have purchased. I wore my other one out. I bought this one because of the water heating feature. I use to clean carpets professionally so I know the importance of hot water. My other machine lasted ten years so I have no doubt this one will also. Great value for the money you save renting machines or having it done professionally. This machine does a great job. It even got out a stain that my old machine couldn't handle. Imagine my surprise! My only wish is that the water holding tank be bigger. The tank is smaller than I would like. Other than that BRAVO Bissell!

We have a golden retriever and this worked great on the dirt and hair we couldn't get with our vacuum. The only thing that was frustrating was how fast the soap and water containers emptied. I didn't like having to stop and refill them and they never ran out at the same time. Overall though my carpet looks great even the spot where the dog likes to sleep!

This is a great cleaner. I highly recommend it. We have 2 dogs that like to run in and out. We also have cream colored carpet. Not a good mixture without this machine. Carpet looks like new again.

It cleans ok but I am having leakage at the bottom. When I turn the machine off it leaks water all over the place so I have to make sure when I use it to place a towel on a hard floor and set it there. Also this carpet that I am cleaning was terrible when I moved in and I can see marks on the carpet where the steamer pulled up dirt but did not suck it out. Looks like long marks from the machine if that makes sense. Over all it cleans ok.

The most wonderful cleaner I have ever used, it is light and easy to control. The carpets were like new after cleaning with this machine. I am so glad I bought this particular cleaner. Could not believe all the hair that it took up.

I have used the machine twice. The first time it worked perfectly and did a wonderful job of extracting the water. The second time it used all of the water in the clean tank but did not suction the dirty water. I read the troubleshooting guide in the manual and checked everything however It still does not suction the dirty water.
Wish there was more on troubleshooting when it comes to suctioning the dirty water if it's not working.

Love this model; easier to use, easy to assemble. I do wish it had a larger dirty water storage unit, but I sure do like the drop down seating of the dispenser without all of the handles/clips from my former Bissel.
I have always had a pet in the house and there are those little oopsies occassionally, so having this steamer on hand always alleviates the stress of clean up after those lovely "littles". I also like the cleaner reservoir that does not have to be emptied when the job is finished but the soap dispenser still has product in it - It can be used at a later time instead of dumped.

Tried just a few time so far, but great cleaning power.
Make shue you vacuum beforehand, as it clumps up dod hair on the rug. Also, it leaks a bit more than I'd like, but I may have overfilled on my first try.

I love my proheat 2x pet! let me start by saying i have two dogs, three cats, a two year old and a one year old haha this carpet cleaner can handle anything thrown at it. it has a really long a/c cord so i can clean everything on one floor of my house with out having to unplug it, also the hose for the hand held is really long so i can go almost all the way up the stairs with it. i've also freshen up my couches!
i just got the bare floor attachment and am excited about not having to mop!

We recently moved and I bought the Bissell to clean the carpeting that goes through 90% of the house. I was very impressed with the machine. I have back problems and it never bothered my back doing the whole upstairs of our home. I would highly recommend this machine to everyone.

I have had this for 6 months and I cannot complain! Lets see I have gotten all sorts of stains on my carpet and have been able to get them all out. Markers, crayons, caramel, wine, soda, juice, pet stains, ice cream, chocolate...etc. Sometimes I don't immediately clean up the mess and it still comes out after letting it sit for several days. I've also broken a few parts off the bissel and have been able to easily replace them via the website. I am overall satisfied with this product. I can't see myself owning anything else.
I also bought the attachment to clean hard floors and it's better than a mop and a swiffer. I also clean stains off our couches and in the car. Very versatile item.

This is a great product I highly recommend it. In the past I have rented carpet cleaners this unit works as well if not better. By owning vs renting I can do it when I want and not be forced to complete in a certain time period.

I bought this machine after doing lots of research. The second time I used it the shampoo leaked out while the machine was sitting. I then took the shampoo container off the machine while storing it. Tried yesterday to shampoo my carpet and discovered that the only "liquid" being dispensed was the shampoo! I now have another soapy mess. Customer service was very nice and they are sending me another tank and soap dispenser. I really hope it works. I owned another brand of shampooer and had it over 14 years (never had to call customer service.)

Bought it, got it home, put it together, scanned the directions and did a large area of my living room carpet where there were stains. Carpet is textured and about 5 years old. Looks great again! I have a small dog and was surprised to find so much dog hair after I thought I had been keeping up. I had a hard time pushing the machine around there was so much suction. Later discovered that I had assembled the 'bare floor' sweeper part to the front thinking that was just part of putting the carpet cleaner together.....best to read directions fully!
It is definately worth the money. I didn't remove all my furnature so only did two thirds of the room. I will move things across and do the rest another time. It was easier than renting a bigger machine and having to move everything out of the way and doing all the carpet cleaning in one day.
It does what it is suppose to do - clean the carpet. And it was inexpensive, not hard to operate, made fast work of a tough cleaning chore. I had been doing spot cleaning on my hands and knees and this worked so much better. The carpet dried fast too and I did it on a cold day in Feb. - I used a floor fan to help and it was dry in about two hours.
I am glad I bought the Bissell.

I like this carpet cleaner very much. I have only used it one time so far but it worked much better than my old Hoover. I like the cleaner being in a seperate compartment. I'm not sure I like the dirty water being mixed with the water bladder but guess I'll get used to it.

I am satisfied with this product. I think it did a very good job cleaning the carpet. I wish it would pick up more water, but I used a fan & it dried pretty quick. I love the fact that it has a rinse cycle. This helps get the soap out of the carpet. Overall, I am pleased with it.

I have owned several different carpet machines but this one beats them all. I love the option of using the heat or just keeping the water cold. Hot works best but cold does less damage to my carpets. I have a cockatoo bird, cat, dog and grandchildren and we seem to have accidents alot. I don't mind those accidents any more because I now own the "ProHeat 2X Pet"! Cleans up very quick and easy. The only thing that slow's me down is the small hole in the tank where you add the clean water. This machine even picks up hair that my vacuum cleaner leaves behind. Very good at sucking up the water and debris out of the carpet so carpet dries fast. I really like the performance of the powered TurboBrush tool. Works great.

My next cleaner will be the Select pet. I can only go up from here. This cleaner made our carpets look new again. With kids, Corgis, and Texas dirt on a light beige carpet, I felt like I was setting up a cleaning demonstration. We got a new Bissell Heavy Duty vacuum and then the ProHeat 2X Pet a week later. All I can say is "wow". I did have to pick up some hair wads, but at least the stuff was out of the carpet. To me that just showed how well it was cleaning. To me, having my carpets look new with a house full of Corgi's, some not yet housebroken, is awesome. I would have gotten the Pet Select if I could have squeezed a little more out of my budget, but now I have something to aim for when this cleaner wears out. Thank you, Bissell. Now I can't wait to be able to get a steamer. Commercial, anyone?
