I used this model at my daughter's home and we like it very much. It really cleans. But I bougth a new one for my home and I want to know if it works in tile floors.

After researching many steamers, I chose the Proheat 2X Pet because it's purpose is what I wanted for the carrpet, hardwoods and tile in my home. I'm very pleased with the product - all my floors look great. I haven't used the upholstery cleaning funtion yet, but will this fall. The on-line ordering process and quick delivery were a big benefit and made the purchase
easy and seamless. Great product and Great service.
Highly recommend this product.

I was transporting my machine in the trunk of my car. I went to remove it and the top cord holder popped off. I have tried and tried to replace it. The plastic holder is not broke, can you tell me is it suppose to just pop back into place. I have tried several times, but don't want to force it and break the plastic part.

Although we do not have any pets, we bought this Proheat 2X Pet machine to replace an aging top-of-the-line Hoover. We had shampooed our family room carpet about one month previous to trying our new machine. We were amazed at how much additional dirt was removed from what we thought was a very clean carpet. Obviously this machine outforms our previous Hoover and we are delighted with our decision to change brands.

We own an older model of the Bissell Proheat which broke after 3 uses. We recently got the Proheat 2X Pet as an early wedding gift. I was so excited to use the new cleaner but after I emptied the water once it no longer works. The hand sprayer works just fine but the rest of the unit will not spray any water at all. Very frustrated and refuse to pay money to have this fixed since this is the 2nd unit that has broken.

I dont like the water bladder inside the vaccume chamber. I prefered my old bissel with separate tanks because it was easier to clean and you could dump it without dumping the water. It also balls up hair the sweeper missed and wont pick it up.

I bought the Proheat 2x to clean my 10 year old carpet which had some very set in stains. I have to admit that I did not expect much. This machine is amazing. My carpet looks so much nicer than it did. The pet stains came out and it is easy to use. I would definitely recommend this cleaner.

My machine isn't releasing water when I press the handle. I have been reading the reviews of others and notice no one has reported this issue. I had the same problem with the previous one but I just purchased another one because it was two years old so I just assume that I had worn it out but to buy another and have the same issue. Think it's time to switch brands. The rubber did wear out around my floor nozzel so I purchase another one because it wasnt expensive but if this doesn't work in the trash it goes and bye bye Bissell.

I had not had good luck with portable carpet cleaners, so I started hiring pros to do the cleaning. My last 2 experiences were not good, so I decided to try the Proheat 2x Pet cleaner. I could not be happier! With 3 dogs tracking red clay into the house, my carpets get dirty fast. This machine is easy to use, easy to clean and it really gets the job done. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable carpet cleaner.

Used it on upstairs carpet first. Was wonderful - I even managed to put it together (and I am no wiz). The hall and bedroom look and smell great...can't wait until I do the rest of the house...2 more bedrooms and the whole downstairs...plus I may even do the enclosed carpeted porch! I'm a cleaning fanatic with this thing! Then I think I will tackle the couches and chairs!

I bought this to update a 25 year old Bissell Big Green Clean Machine, which is still going strong by the way. This new machine is amazing, and almost fun to use. The upholstery tools do an amazing job on furniture...You'll be amazed at the filth that comes out of your furniture, even if you are immaculate. Dust settles into everything, right! It does an amazing job of carpets, and I just did my kitchen ceramic tile with it...So much better than a mop. I have to say, i LOVE this machine. Watch the videos on this site to better familiarize yourself with this machine. I watched them after my 1st use and learned a few important things. Thanks Bissell for another great product!!

This is even better than any steam cleaner i have ever use . it is even better than stanley steamer excepect that you do it your self but it got all tha stains that the cleaning conpany miss and that rug doctor could not get up sooooo happy with Buy one and you will see for your self.

Love this carpet cleaner. Have 4 dogs and it has cleaned up old stain that were several years old.
Had a Hoover cleaner before and it never cleaned as good as this one does.

I love, love, love my carpet cleaner. Having had up to 3 dogs in the house with one that peas on the carpet all the time and also a 4 year old son I am amazed. I was able to get spots up in high traffic areas that have been there for years. It truly has paid for itself. My couch and recliner look years younger and the house smells great. No longer am I cursing when having to clean up a mess. I just get the shampooed out and clean the area up. It is not too heavy and setup and cleanup are not too bad.

This is my second ProHeat machine. The first one I used for carpet, but we are moving to tile in the house. I purchased this one only because of the hard floor attachement. I used it on the carpet left in the house and it works great, even cleaned the car with it.
I tried the tile attachment today and am very dissapointed. When you put the hard floor attachment on, it lifts the scrubbing brushes off the floor. I wanted a machine to scrub the 1800 sq. ft. of tile I now have, so I didn't have to do it by hand. This is not going to work for me.

Shortly after purchasing the Bissell Proheat 2X, the heater stopped working. I made sure the heater switch was turned on. This was our first Bissell purchase. We expected more from a Bissell.

I have only used the cleaner 3x's and I can't get the solution to release anymore. I thought I was cleaning everything thoroughly after use but apparently not. I have, once again, taken the solution container and filled it with hot water. I have hot water in the water holding tank and I have taken the 2 sprayers out of their hoses and they are currently soaking. What else can I do? For the cost of the machine, it's starting to be more work just trying to get the machine to work. Please help so I can once again be happy with my purchase!!!!

Just purchased yesterday and put it to good use today! With a two and a half year old grandchild and two dogs, the Pro Heat 2X did a great job of making our carpets look new. I particularly like the new set up, it makes refilling and cleaning less of a task. I wish the tank capacity was larger and the hose attachment a bit longer but all in all great job Bissell.

My first ProHeat 2X was a great machine and I had it repaired 3 times over many (10+) years. When the old one needed repairs again, I purchased the new ProHeat 2x Pet. After two uses I have come to the conclusion that I do not like it, and will be repairing the old model. The new ProHeat is heavy and the water container is difficult to fill and hold. I spilled it on the rug once, and have difficulty reattaching the top to the bottom. The clip that holds the water dispenser closed has fallen off after two uses, and I can't get it back on. You cannot tell if the water is empty or if the the cleaning fluid is low when in use. My old ProHeat had a wheel that would stop spinning if the water was empty, etc. I just do not like this machine at all. I guess it cleans OK but they don't make 'em like they used to.

Have this product about 2 years. Had problems with it from day1. HAs a mind of it own- works-doesn't work. Suction is lousy. Carpets stay wet a long time-doesn't suck up the dirty water. Furniture cleaner is a joke- spotty spray and again-little suction.Would not buy this again.

I bought my original ProHeat 2X Pet to replace another steamer I had. This one is SO much better. It really cleans as well as a professional. Only complaint is the size of the water and soap receptacles. You have to refill the water and soap containers frequently. But the results are great! I bought another one for our vacation home

My second purchace of this model. My first one is over 10 years old and still works, but shampoo dispencer does not work ( probably plugged up with shampoo0 my fault. I am very happy with how easy it is to use. Must be or i would not have purchased another one

It's taken me a while to figure out when to spray the soap and when to let off the trigger. I'm a man and should probably read the manual.
I use it frequently. One of my belts broke. But, even though there aren't any Bissel mechanics, the local vaccuum repair had the part.
It's a good machine. You get a dirty tank of sucked up water.

I purchased my Bissell ProHeat 2- Pet and thought I was just purchasing a regular machine. I don't own a pet, but I will say this machine 'really' cleans our carpets. It is easy to use except for the hand hose which keeps popping off. They could have made a better stand for it. Otherwise I am satisfied so far!

First of all I did not intend to buy the pet 2 model. I wanted the regular pro heat but found I was given the pet model by mistake. Ok...not worth the hassle of repacking it and lugging it back to the store. Secondly I have no pets but figured it should still do the job.
I cleaned my living room carpet and found that it was very easy to use. After my run through to suck up all the water I found it left pretty deep marks on the carpet. The carpet felt stiff after it was dry. The next day I decided to do a clean water cleaning and dry cycle. Since the pet 2 model does not have a way to do this I simply filled the soap container with water and cleaned it as I did the day before using only clear warm water. I also figured this would be a good way to put it away with all the hoses being cleaned of soap.
After it was dry it felt a lot softer. Next time I will cut down the amount of soap I put in the soap container and hope that this will take care of the excess soap that was left in the carpet.
Overall, I am pleased with the product.

ProHeat 2X Pet works better than any commercial cleaner my husband & I have ever rented. We actually just finished using it for the first time and the carpeting in the two rooms we just finished look great. If I had not witnessed the cleaning for myself, I would have thought it was brand new carpeting. The only negative we found is that we wish the solution tank & the water tank were larger. We had to fill the solution tank & empty the water tank to often. Other than that, it is an excellent model, did exactly what we wanted it to do, next time we would just buy a bissell with larger tanks. Great quality for the money spent.
