Rated 1 out of 5 by jcumer Brand new and DOES NOT WORK
I just opened the cleaner and removed it from the box. There is absolutely NO REASON this machine is not working. It does not spray water for longer than half a pass on the floor. Followed the steps to fix it, but it SHOULD NOT NEED fixed since it's brand new.

I bought a Bissell Proheat 2x 9200 a couple of weeks ago FROM A PAWN SHOP for ten bucks. They had a note on it stating that it would not vacuum the water up. Heck, ten dollars, what would it hurt? My husband is a machinist and tinkers with stuff, so, I gave him a project. It wasn't a project though. He noticed there was a piece missing on the front piece. I ordered the part online, which was easy enough. But, I will be returning it because I bought a part from a local store for 15 bucks. It was also missing the upholstery cleaner, bought that for 15 bucks also. Now, I was ready for business. It cleaned my carpets perfectly, and the upholstery cleaner worked like a charm. I have read some not so good reviews about Bissell, and was a bit skeptical. Once again, opinions are like....

Rated 4 out of 5 by Alcadia won't stop spraying water
Bought my ProHeat 2x model number 66Q4 about 3 years ago and has been working great. Just turned it on the other day and it started constantly spraying water just out of the bottom portion of the shampooer without pressing the trigger. I was thinking it could be the solenoid. Any idea what the issue could be?

I was pleased with my Bissell Pro Heat 2X carpet cleaner when I bought it a few years ago from Fingerhut (more expensive there I found out later). However, after only a few uses, the front started coming loose and would fall off while running it . This was of course, very frustrating. And , of course, it happened after the warranty ran out (should have bought the extended warranty, as it would have been worth the cost). So for awhile, I ran the machine with the front duck taped on. But it doesn't get the suction it should. I've cleaned any debris from any openings that needed cleaning, including where the water goes back into the water tank, but I think the problem is the front not connecting properly because it is loose. The hose connection works great, but the floor cleaner does not suck the water out of the carpet. And yes, the dial is set properly to floor cleaning.
So, now I have an expensive decoration to hang my coat on? Can the problem be fixed by replacing the front and will it stay on this time or am I throwing away good money for bad? I really liked the machine otherwise.

Does not work after first use. Took it to be fixed. Worked one more time. Do yourself a favor, buy a Hoover.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Darrett ProHeat 2X® Pet Deep Cleaner 9200P
This product is pretty flawed in a few aspects. The plastic latch which separates the tanks breaks very easily. It should have been engineered with some embedded metal to increase longevity. The machine is hard to clean if pet hair and other gunk get into the machine's wells. Also, the tank that holds the cleaning solution drains out completely in less than a day, without any usage whatsoever. Lastly, the tank should be bigger, so as to not have to constantly pour out water. I am very disappointed in this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by GACIF A well designed machine to trust in but has flaws
The ProHeat 2x 9200A is a great featured machine for a great price! We bought it hoping for outstanding performance from its powerful motor. Coming from an electro-mechanical background, I was very pleased how it cleaned our carpet with three dogs. All dogs are house trained, but there are hair issues.
We used the machine a total of six times in the past two years. The second time we used the machine it started to malfunction and leaks in which I repaired. The third time one of the screws housing unit broke and the brush failed to rotate. I repaired that as well. I also noticed the water heater feature didn't keep the water hot or warm but there is nothing I can do about it. And now the machine is failing to have suction because of the pieces not coupling properly together for a tight fit. I ordered the parts to get a better fit. I still believe in this machine because of its beautiful design and hope to get more usage with this machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mrteachme Great product for first 20 minutes. . .
I bought this unit to replace my 10 yr old unit from the competitior that was still working minus some broken tank locks/latches. Not wanting to invest in a 10 yr old unit, I thought something new would be a treat. The Bissell Pro Heat 2X unit worked great for 20 minutes and then the mess started. The internal sprayer/trigger control broke and the sprayer remained stuck on and never shut off again. I returned it the next day and was thankful for all these reviews to prevent me from purchasing another one. The FAQ solution for this particualr problem is to take the unit to a qualified technician. No one should have to do that after 20 minutes of use ! There is no excuse, bottom line.
