Leaks
- Inspect
the attic, the basement, and the exterior of your house
during a heavy rain to watch for leaks.
Foundation
- Make
sure the soil around the house is graded away from the
foundation.
Gutters
Garage
- Keep
sharp lawn and gardening equipment out of the reach of
children and fastened securely to the wall.
- Gas,
oil, anti-freeze, pesticides and other poisons should
be kept on a high shelf or in a locked cabinet to protect
children.
- Shelving
units should be securely fastened to the wall to avoid
tipping.
- Do
not leave rags/towels used to clean-up fuel spills in
a pile in the garage as these can be a fire hazard.
