Floor
- If
the laundry room is not in the basement, consider installing
a drain and waterproof flooring under the washer.
- Do
not put carpet on the floor of your laundry area.
Ventilation
- Always
vent a dryer to the outside.
- Unless
sloped correctly, dryer vent hoses should not travel for
great lengths through cold spaces.
Drying Clothes
- Don’t
hang clothes to dry where there are allergens in the air.
