Why deep clean my carpets and upholstery?
Deep cleaning is a carpet-cleaning process that loosens and removes most

are expected to last for a long time. Using the BISSELL Deep Cleaners in
combination with the BISSELL Deep Cleaning Formulas, you can expect your
carpet and upholstery to look newer and smell fresher.
How long does it take carpets and upholstery to dry after deep cleaning?
On the average, it will take approximately 2-4 hours for carpet and upholstery
to dry after being deep cleaned. To expedite the drying process, you will
want to use a fan and increase your air circulation.
Are BISSELL Formulas harmful to humans or pets?
BISSELL Formulas are non-toxic; water based products which are not harmful
to humans or pets when used as directed. Because birds have very sensitive respiratory systems,
as a precaution they should be removed from any room in which you will be
deep cleaning. You should always use cleaners with care and
according to labeled product instructions.
When should I use the BISSELL Tough Stain Precleaner?
The BISSELL Tough Stain PreCleaner should be used to pre-treat high traffic
or stained areas. These are areas which demand extra attention due to higher
use and/or abuse. The Tough Stain PreCleaner is available in a 22-ounce
trigger bottle for manual application. You will need to apply this to the
area, which requires the added attention. Please follow directions from
the bottle for best results.
When should I use the BISSELL Fiber Cleansing Formula™ with Scotchgard™
Protector?
The BISSELL Fiber Cleansing Formula with Scotchgard Protector should be
used to clean soil, debris, and common ground in dirt. The chemical is specially
formulated to attack dirt and debris. When using in your full size BISSELL
Deep Cleaner, you will notice great results.
How do I remove ground-in dirt from my carpet?
First, pre-treat the carpet with BISSELL Tough Stain Precleaner. Then,
clean the carpet with hot water and your BISSELL Deep Cleaning Machine with
the SmartMix dial set to the high traffic. Make sure that three or four
wet passes are taken for each section cleansed. The wet passes should be
followed by at least two dry passes. When cleaning is complete, a recommendation
would be to use a fan to expedite drying.
What types of carpet are best suited for deep cleaners?
Almost all types of carpet can be deep cleaned with
the BISSELL Deep Cleaners. For best results check with your carpet manufacturer’s
deep cleaning suggestions. For your upholstery, please check the care instructions.
If the care instructions do not recommend using any water to clean, do NOT
use the BISSELL Deep Cleaners or BISSELL cleaning formulas.
How do I remove the static from the carpet?
Mix 1 part liquid fabric softener with 5 parts water, mist the carpet lightly
with a spray bottle. Then, let it dry. You may want to repeat every couple
months. You may find a humidifier will help eliminate the static electricity.
