From: Paw Luxury
By: Bark@pawlux.com (Paw Luxury)
Let's start by saying that dogs give the term "public displays of affection" new meaning and aren't shy about it. Dogs are considered "man's best friend", or shall we say "leg's best friend". We all know that embarrassing face redding feeling we have when you have house guest over and your dog takes a humping fancy to one of their legs. Although this can be viewed as a form of flattery, this situation can get out of control very quickly when your dog refuses to loosen his grip. Instead he or...Read More

Leaving you with a wet soggy pill in the palm of your hand and in search of a dog or cat on the run.Truth be told, administering your pets medication can be quite a dramatic challenge for you and an even more torturous experience for your furry friend. Helping Pets Survive Fires
Did you know that somewhere between 40,000 and 150,000 pets die in fires every year. I didn't, but given pet behavior, I'd be surprised if the actual number was closer to the high end. According to fire fighters, pets tend to hide when fire strikes which makes saving their lives that much more difficult.
That job just got a little easier thanks to The Invisible Fence Company and a program called "Project Breathe". Invisible Fence is donating pet oxygen masks to fire houses around the...Read More

That title should say "more" pet friendly. Ever since becoming a member of their Pack of Pet Lovers, I've been really impressed by the way Bissell embraces pet parents and their four-legged (or two-clawed, whatever!) kids! We use Bissell products on The Grumpy Old Lady's hairballs and they're great!
Well, I just read on Inside the Pack, the Bissell pet blog, that "The BISSELL Pet Spot is officially open!"

Partying with our Best Friends
July 31, 2010 at 01:36 AM
From: Inside the Pack
The May/June issue of AARP Magazine (page 19) gives stats from some of the research that BISSELL has conducted about the human-animal bond. Can you guess the % of pet owners 55+ that celebrate their pet’s birthdays? I was very surprised to learn that it is only 24%. Even if you expand to all ages of pet owners, our survey showed that 31% celebrate their pet’s birthday. Guessing on our facebook page was much higher too, ranging from 52% to 98% until we gave a nudge to go lower. I am...Read More

This weekend, more than 1600 shelters in the U.S. will join the North Shore Animal League America in hosting the Pet Adoptathon® 2010. Hopefully that number will be topped this year!We will have BISSELL employees helping out at two different shelters over the weekend. We’ll be in Port Washington, NY at the...Read More
