Is the pump noise I hear when starting my Steam & Sweep normal?

The Steam & Sweep will make a knocking-type noise when it is first used, when the unit runs out of water, or if it sits for an extended period of time between uses. This noise is the normal sound of the pump trying to pull water through the machine.

Please hold the trigger down until the noise goes away. This could take up to 1 ½ minutes.
