My PowerForce® Bagged Vacuum is blowing dust. What can I do?
Answer: 1. Thoroughly vacuum the each area as the brush will continue to rotate. Brush rotation will cause debris to move up through the hose.
2. Check for clogs in the lower hose. If there are no clogs, go on to the next step. If there are clogs, try the following steps:
a) Remove the screw from the left side of the lower hose on back of the unit and straighten this section of hose by pulling it down or lay the vacuum out flat. The handle release pedal will need to be pushed twice. Roll the vacuum on its side with the lower hose (the hose next to the wheels) towards the top side.
b) Look through the hose for obstructions. Push a broomstick through lower hose to unclog. The access plate (a plastic frame over the brush roll) can also be removed to gain better access to the lower hose. Note: a coat hanger is not recommended to clear clogs as it could poke holes in the hose.
3. Wait 3 to 5 seconds before removing the upholstery hose. This allows any accumulated dirt in the hose to deposit into the dust cup.
