My ProSeries Carpet Cleaner's brushes won't turn. What should I check?

Answer: 1. First, let’s check the pump belt to make sure it’s not damaged. You’ll find the door right below the Floor Cleaning/Tools dial. To open it, use a flathead screwdriver or something similar. If it’s damaged, you can replace it by clicking here: http://www.bissell.com/parts/?sc=part&productid=2825&partid=4406&cid=ccsocial&cid=ccsocial

 

2. Check the brush and the belts on the underside of the base for damage or debris by removing it (you’ll need a Philips head screwdriver). If there are damaged parts they will need to be replaced. You can find all the parts you’ll need here: http://www.bissell.com/parts/?cid=ccsocial?cid=ccsocial

If nothing appears to be damaged, at this point it might be best to take your carpet cleaner to a technician. You can find your nearest BISSELL® Authorized Service Center by clicking http://www.bissell.com/service-centers/ or by calling 1-800-237-7691, available 24 hours a day.
