My Deep Cleaner appears to be leaving stripes on my carpet. What can I do?
Answer: We have found this can occur when overlap cleaning
is not performed; please see below for more details.
After deep cleaning, if you are seeing ‘stripes’, ‘lines,’
‘tire marks’ or ‘dirt marks’ in your carpet, we recommend
the following:
• After your carpet is fully dry from the initial cleaning,
and to prevent over-saturation, try cleaning in a ‘grid
pattern’ as referenced in your User Guide & in the image
below.
• Ensure you are using small, overlapping strokes with your
deep cleaner.
• Or try cleaning in a ‘fan pattern’, ensuring you are using
small, overlapping strokes with your deep cleaner.
• Do not clean with long strokes, down the full length of a
room or hallway.
Example of ‘stripes’ or ‘lines’:
