My Pet Hair Eraser bar is not lifting the pet hair. What should I check?

Answer: If the Pet Hair Lifter Bar of your vacuum is not lifting the pet hair, please check the following...

- the height adjustment should be set to Pet Hair setting

- the word FRONT should appear on one edge of the Lifter Bar and the underside of the Lifter Bar housing. The word Front must line up on both housing and lifter bar.

- check to ensure the Hair Lifter Bar moves freely forward and backward. If it does NOT move freely, remove the two screws on either end of the Lifter Bar and re-attach. Insert the screws slowly into position. Re-do if necessary so they do not get wedged against the plastic. If necessary, hold each end of the Lifter Bar and manually force both ends at the same time forward and backward 20-30 times to widen the screw-hole.
