Why is my Lift-Off Bagless vacuum blowing dust?
Answer: If your vacuum is blowing dust, it could be due to reduced air flow and suction power. To address this, clean the three filters and check the hose and base of the machine for clogs.
The BISSELL Lift-Off Bagless vacuum contains three filters, which should be cleaned frequently. The three filters are the round filter located above the dirt cup, the square filter located in the tray beneath the dirt cup and the rectangular filter located on the side or back of the machine. The black filters can be washed in warm water and mild detergent and should be completely dry prior to re-installing. The white HEPA Media Filters* are not washable. Additional filters can be ordered through Consumer Services.
The Lift-Off is a "clean-air" system, where all the suction occurs through the hose. Check the hose for possible clogs by removing the hose completely from the back of the machine by the two screws. Using a broomstick handle, push any dirt or debris through the hose. If these suggestions do not solve the problem for you, please take your machine to a BISSELL Authorized Service Center. BISSELL provides a one year warranty on any manufacturer defects. You can locate a Service Center online or by phone, 24 hours a day, by calling 1-800-237-7691 and choosing option #1. Consumer Services Representatives are also available to assist you by phone.
