My CleanView® Bagless vacuum has no electrical power. What should I check?
Answer: Check the entire length of the power cord and plug for damage. If the cord is damaged, please stop using the machine and take it to a BISSELL Authorized Service Center for assistance.
Make sure the power cord was plugged into a working outlet.
Please note: Reduced air-flow from dirty filters or from clogs in the hoses will put greater stress on the motor, increasing the possibility for overheating.
Please unplug the machine from the outlet before checking the following:
• Check the inner and outer circular filters and the post-motor filter for debris. Also, check the upper-tank louvers, this can be removed and rinsed. All filters are hand washable with the exception of the white, pleated post-motor filter located on the outside of your vacuum. The washable filters can be cleaned with warm water & a mild detergent. The white pleated post-motor filter requires replacement when the filter is visibly grey or covered in debris.
If you are having difficulty locating your filters, please reference your user guide.
Ensure that all filters are completely dry before placing back in your machine to avoid water or moisture damage in your motor.
• The Upholstery Hose can be cleared of clogs by completely removing the hose from the back of the machine. Use a broomstick handle to push any debris through the hose.
• The lower hose can be cleared of clogs by laying the vacuum out flat and pressing the foot pedal twice. Roll the machine onto its side with the lower hose towards the top. Push a broomstick through the lower hose to remove debris. The access plate, brush & belt can also be removed for cleaning debris build-up from the lower hose.
