My vacuum does not have power, what should I check?

Answer: - Check to ensure the power cord is plugged into a working outlet.


 - Check the upper-tank, pre and post-motor filters for debris. Dirty filters can cause restricted airflow. The filters may be washed in cold water with mild detergent.


Re-install filters when they are completely dry. Reduced air-flow from dirty filters or clogs will put greater stress on the motor, increasing the possibility for overheating, which will cause no power to your vacuum.


If you still have no power, please take your machine for inspection to a local BISSELL Authorized Service Center. To locate your nearest BISSELL Authorized Service Center, go to the BISSELL Homepage at: http://www.bissell.com. Select the Customer Support tab at the top of the page. Enter your zip code in the Service Center locator box to perform your search. You can also locate a Service Center by phone, 24 hours a day, by calling 1-800-237-7691 and choosing option #1
