Why is the carpet sensor flickering at times or red on my vacuum?

Answer: -Check to make sure the lens on the sensor is not dirty. To clean the lens , detach the twist and snap hose and gently wipe the clear lens area using a lightly dampened soft cloth. Allow time for the lens to dry before using your vacuum. If you continue to experience difficulty with this, please take your machine for inspection to a local BISSELL Authorized Service Center. To locate your nearest BISSELL Authorized Service Center, go to the BISSELL Homepage at: http://www.bissell.com. Select the "Customer Service" tab at the top of the page and then select "Service Centers" from the drop down menu. Enter your zip code to perform your search. You can also locate a Service Center by phone, 24 hours a day, by calling 1-800-237-7691 and choosing option #1.
