My Power Trak bagless vacuum is very loud. What should I check?

Answer: Please unplug your machine from the electrical outlet before trying the following: - Failure to properly maintain the filters could result in damage to the motor. Check the Upper-Tank, Pre and Post-Motor filters for debris. Clean if necessary. The black filters can be washed with warm water and a mild detergent. Be sure they are dry prior to re-using. - A clogged hose may also cause an increase in the noise level. To clear the hose, remove it completely from the back of the machine. Using a broomstick handle, push any dirt or debris through the hose. Remove the screw which attaches the lower hose. Straighten this section of hose and remove any debris. A broomstick handle may also be used to assist with clearing the lower hose. If your machine continues to be excessively loud, please take your machine to a local BISSELL Authorized Service Center.
