My Perfect Sweep Turbo has lost suction power. What should I check?

Answer: -Make sure the dirt cup is empty and secured in place by pressing down on the unit. If the brush is not rotating, make sure the sweeper is fully charged. -After the initial charging of 16 hours, the sweeper should be charged for 12 hours to renew the battery. The Power Switch must be in the OFF position when charging. The light should illuminate on the machine. -Decreased operating time may indicate the battery has built up a charging resistance. To recharge, first completely exhaust the battery, recharge it, then exhaust it again before recharging a second time. This procedure may be required more than once. If you continue to experience lost suction, please call Consumer Services at 1-800-237-7691, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., or Saturday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., ET. A representative will assist you.
