I have my machine plugged into the wall outlet, but when I flip the switch ON there is no sound. What should I do?

Answer: Please try the following suggestion to get your machine working properly:

  • In order for the machine to operate the upper handle must be fully inserted into unit. The power switches for the machine are located in the upper handle. Please make sure the handle is pushed all the way into the machine and the screw holes are aligned properly.
  • Try plugging the cord into another outlet in your home. Many new homes have plugins that are connected to light switches. If your plug-in is connected to a light switch, be sure to turn on the light switch. If the machine is still not functioning properly, please contact your local BISSELL Authorized Service Center for additional assistance.
