Michigan Environmental Council

The Michigan Environmental Council (MEC) provides a collective voice for the environment at the local, state and federal levels. Working with our 75 member groups and their collective membership of nearly 200,000 residents, MEC is addressing the primary assaults on Michigan’s environment; promoting alternatives to urban blight and suburban sprawl; advocating for a sustainable environment and economy; protecting Michigan’s water legacy; promoting cleaner energy; and working to diminish environmental impacts on children’s health.

HARBOR Inc.

HARBOR Inc's goal is to bring together the Greater Harbor Springs Community by providing a platform for cooperation and communication; by encouraging participation through education and discussion; by facilitating the understanding and implementation of multiple plans and proposals; and by promoting, protecting, and maintaining the common vision for the Greater Harbor Springs Community.

West Michigan Trailways & Greenways

Founded in 2000, the West Michigan Trails and Greenway Coalition's mission is to create important community connections by helping local trailway groups in the planning and development of their trails and greenways. The coalition helps to create new trailways groups as new trails are established, we seek new funding to accelerate land acquisition and trail development, and we work with local communities to gather input for the development of the Fred Meijer West Michigan Trailway Network.
