LAST WEEK I GOT A RUG DOCTOR FROM LOWES,BROUGHT IT HOME AND USED IT FOR ABOUT A HOUR,IT LEFT THE CARPET VERY WET AND YOU HAVE TO REFILL THE TANK QUITE OFTEN.
IT DID NOT CLEAN THE CARPET ANY BETTER THAN MY OLD HOOVER SO BACK TO LOWES IT WENT AND I ORDERED A BISSELL BIG GREEN, IT CAME TO MY HOME IN TWO DAYS TODAY I USED IT AND WAS GREAT IT CLEANED THE CARPET THE BEST SINCE IT WAS NEW AND WAS VERY EASY TO USE.
MY WIFE USED THE ATTACHMENT HOSE AND IT WORKED VERY WELL I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE MACHINE AND WOULD RECOMMEND. ALSO THE CARPET DRIED VERY QUICK.

I usually hire someone to come in and clean my carpets every 6 months to a year. I rented this producted at Lowes to clean my carpets myself to see how it worked. I was so impressed with the results that I ordered one myself. I have owned the Big Green since March 2012 and have used it many times. The last time I used it, it started leaking around the flow indicator on the top of the machine. I was surprised to find out that it has a 5 year warranty. I cannot be without this cleaner. It really does the job with professional results. Carpets smell and look great!.

I have cleaned all my carpets with my new Big Green and I love it. It is made so much better than the Cheaper home models of cleaners I have been buying that only last about 3 Yrs. Works so much better also. Great product. Easy to handle too. Well worth the price.

I had done some research on carpet cleaners and decided to rent the Bissell Big Green from Lowes. My carpets looked awesome!! I usually have them professionally cleaned but decided to do it myself this time; they looked every bit as good or better than when the pros clean. I loved it so much and it was so easy I decided to buy the Big Green. Definately worth it if you clean your carpets 3-4 times a year like I do. I have no regrets!!

bought my big green from HSN one night, when I got it it was simple to put together and couldn't wait to use it. My back yard gets muddy and I have a great dane... translation big dog+ mud= Big paw prints all over my beige carpeting. The big green was so simple to use pulled the stains out in one pass and I didn't want to stop cleaning I couldn't believe how dirty my carpet was, it now looks brand new and cant wait for it to rain again so I can pull out my Bissell.
just one tip, make sure you vacuum your carpet REALLY good, after using the Bissell I was still pulling up dog and cat hair clumps, maybe this is just more proof of its power.

I purchased the Big Green Deep Cleaning Machine on 12/2/2012. It was shipped even before their estimated shipment date. I have cream colored carpeting in my whole house. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs that sometimes will get sick and stain the carpet. I have tried every stain cleaner imaginable. I even had a Bissel Pro steam. This past weekend I decided to clean the carpets. I took the machine out of the box and it was already assembled. The tanks were much larger making less filling and less emptying. The machine was easy to operate and I was amazed that all the stains came out and my carpet and looks like new again. I took pictures before and after and my friends couldn't believe the difference. A friend of mine owns rental properties and she said she will be getting one after I showed her the pictures. You may think that its pricey but it is well worth the money and will pay for itself in no time. I was a skeptic after reading the reviews thinking nothing could be this good but I am not a skeptic any longer.

I've been renting this machine from Lowe's for rental properties that we own. I've decided to take the leap and just purchase one. When the carpets need cleaned it's inconvenient to go to Lowe's and make sure it's back on time. This beast has cleaned some pretty gnarly, nasty and stained carpets. This is the best cleaning tool in my arsenal. You can't go wrong. It's very easy to use and not very heavy. Be sure to use the carpet cleaner that is recommended and you won't be sorry. This is the best Commercial Machine you can purchase on the Market today...the Rug Doctor does not even come close to the quality of this m/c..I don't know why Bissell does not have these replacing every Rug Doctor in the country. Less fillings by 2 to 1 over the Rug Doctor & except for possibly a gasket...I don't see anything that can break, if you maintain it. Only thing better my be a truck mounted steam cleaner.

I've been a professional carpet cleaner for 2 years now and while I don't consider myself an expert I am just in awe of this machine. If everyone bought one of these there would be a lot of professional carpet cleaning businesses put out of business. It's so easy to use and leaves the carpet smelling clean and very soft. A lot of pros leave heavy residues on the carpet but you can't feel any residue after using this with the Bissell pro concentrate. But what I love most is that it doesn't over wet the carpet. I rented this from Lowes and was skeptical that carpets would dry as quickly as other said, but they were almost completely dry in just 2 hours! I was so impressed I immediately ordered one after I returned the rental.

I purchased the Big Green about 2 week ago to replace an aging and failing Pro Heat 2x unit. I have 3 cats and a dog - and while I found the 2x to be adequate, I still wound up having the pros come in at a cost of $250 per trip to do a proper cleaning about every 3 - 4 months. This unit has exceeeded my expectations. It was for the most part ready to use right out of the box (had to add water and cleaner.....), plugged it in, and off I went (after pretreating a couple of spots). Not only was it much quicker to use than the 2x, the carpets were dry within about 4 hours of completing the job - and it took the capets in my house that are about 15 years old and practically made them look brand new - removing spots, stains, and odors. All in all, an excellent unit - I don't think a person could wrong. I realize it's pretty expensive, but if you're like me, not only was I paying for the cleaning solutions for the old 2x unit, but also about a $1000 per year to have them professionally cleaned - gave me an ROI of about 6 months - well worth it!! Thanks Bissell!!

I brought the Big Green Machine because I have two little grandchildren and Ecru carpet. Between the sandbox and the wood chips, my carpet truly needed some help. So two weeks ago I brought the Big Green Machine... I used it for the first time last weekend and it I could not believe my eyes. My carpet looks fantastic. It worked the first time and I am so glad I saw the demo on TV. Big Green cleaned better than I expected.

i have been paying people to come clean my carpet for years and with 4 children i never felt it got "clean enough". A friend of mine bought one of these big green machines and insisted i try it. So with very low expectations i did. And boy am i glad she shared her secret!! i wish i could post a pic of the before and after!! Our carpet is biege but when i moved the kids funiture the walking area was BLACK!! NOT EVEN EXAGERATING! so i began to clean them feeling a good bit ashamed for letting it get this bad . 1st time..brown! 2nd time..YOU CANT EVEN TELL I HAVE CHILDREN LIVING IN THE ROOMS!! I DONT THINK IT WAS THIS CLEAN WHEN I BOUGHT THE CARPET!! I WILL BE PURCHASING MY OWN RIGHT NOW!!! Never again will i pay to have someone come into my home to do a sub par job!! THANK YOU BISSELL FOR MAKING A CLEANER THAT REALLY WORKS!!

I purchased my Big Green after renting from Lowe's. I thought I would have to replace my carpeting as one of my pets was very sick and lost bowel control numerous times. Very messy and very smelly and the carpet was very stained. I thoroughly vacuumed my carpets before using, as recommended ( I have 2 large dogs). The big green pulled up a ton of pet hair that my Kirby missed. I used the Bissell Pet Stain and Odor formula. My carpets look brand new! Stains and odor are gone. The carpets dried amazingly fast. I had my furniture back in the rooms shortly after 2 hours. I was hesitant to buy as I thought the Big Green was a bit pricey. But after seeing the results and how easy the unit is to operate, I didn't hesitate. The Big Green is well designed, holds more solution and waste than the competitors, folds up for easy storage, and is easy to clean. Lots of accessories for stairs, floors, and furniture. Also got free shipping and it arrived it two days. Thank you Bissell!!

I previously owned a ProHeat 2X® CleanShot® Deep Cleaning System which was decent but the construction was not the best. The plastic used on that machine broke easily. All of the attachments cracked and the hose didn't work too well. I was looking for a commercial grade steam machine and saw this one which is the same one you can rent at Lowe's. I purchased it after reading all the great reviews and I was not disappointed. It is extremely durable, and compact. It also cleans really well. I did some upholstery first and it got all my chairs very clean for the first time. I then did an area rug using the main unit and the same thing. Much better than the ProHeat 2X® CleanShot® Deep Cleaning System.
The only thing to consider is a laundry bag for the attachment hose. It does not store on the unit itself, so you need to store it seperately. I saw this suggestion in another review and got one. Very good suggestion.

We purchased the Big Green Cleaning Machine and we are very happy we did. We should have purchased one of there years ago. It's easy to use, easy to fill, easy to clean and does a great job of cleaning the carpets.
It also works very good on your hard floors. We have a lot of tile floors and it just cleans them very well. It will pick up all the dirt and cleaning solution and the floors are dry when you finish.
This is a great product and you won't be disapointed with your results.

I have owned probably 8 machines over the years. The last two being Bissel. I use the machine probably harder than most. We have kids, grandkids, and pets needless to say. I was always very pleased with my Bissel's other than wearing them out to quickly. I also manage properties so use it alot for that also.
This unit is by far better than the standard residential units I have been using and is simple to use. It isn't as bulky as it looks. Easy to manuver and the power is awesome.
For the extra few dollars from the others I am pretty sure it is going to outlast all of them. Definatley worth the upgrade to anyone who uses their carpet cleaner frequently.

Having 3 children and all their friends over all the time our carpets do get pretty roughed up...dirty shoes, spilled food, etc. We have always rented the Rug Doctor to get our carpet looking good again and never considered anything else. We were in our local grocery store a couple weeks ago and saw this machine. My husband and I decided we would try it to see how it did. We rented it, along with the upholstery tool, and used it over the last couple days. WOW!!!! We will NEVER be renting another Rug Doctor again! Our carpets look NEW again! The high traffic areas look CLEAN! Our carpets dried quickly, my sofa and chairs look great, and I LOVE the up and back motion instead of the Rug Doctor which you have to lift up and push it all the way forward then set it down and pull it back. The design is amazing! The solution measuring cup is the lid to the clean water tank. You don't have to use a water pitcher to fill it, just take it to the tub! The dirty water tank doesn't have a large lip so it's easier to dump and get all the sand and dirty water out. The clean water tank lasts longer, which means less trips to the bathroom and back. We also used it to clean our kitchen floor, which is vinyl, and it came SOOO clean! This is an amazing machine and we will be buying one!!! Bissell, we have always believed in you as a vacuum cleaner manufacturer, and own the PowerGroom and LOVE it, but you have now acquired 1 more steam cleaner customer!!!!! Keep doing what you're doing!

I've used my green machine at three different locations already and as such it has paid for itself had I paid someone to do it. To top it off, my carpets are cleaner then they have ever been. Great machine and priced well below the local box stores when buying direct. It is the same machine they rent at Lowes but I know where mine has been.

I love this cleaner..I am an old Bissell customer who has the old original canister round big green machine and it still works and has not died. I needed another one for my condo at the beach, needless to say I decided to buy the 2X proheat based on the consumer reports and was very dissappointed, I ended up returning it and got my money back. That did not live up to the reviews. I finally decided to bite the bullet and pay the extra and get the follow-on to the Big Green machine I've had for 10+ years. This new one was the best purchase I've ever made for my home, I am a clean freak and like to keep the house clean and this baby is the answer to carpets. It actually does better than a professional carpet cleaner which I've hired multiple times at the beach house. The carpets look brand new and all spots, etc. are gone in a couple of sweeps over the carpet. It fluffs the carpet as well making it feel great afterwards. The water container capacity is wonderful allowing you to do several rooms without having to dump and refill constantly like I had to do with the 2x Proheat. The assembly was nothing! My husband loved that, just pulled it out of the box and its ready to go. The instructions are simple, if you can't work this one, you don't need to be using a cleaner! The drying time for this cleaner is also the best I've experienced EVER, including a professional cleaner. It's a little heavy but I have had back problems and this machine didn't bother me one bit, I used 2 hands and that worked great. If you are wanting a great cleaning machine and don't mind the extra cost please buy this one...HANDS DOWN THE BEST CLEANER...take it from me, consumer Guide reports was wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are going on cost, I'm going on getting the job done and this machine will do that for you. You won't be sorry you bought it!

My old carpet cleaner died last year so I decided to rent a Big Green Clean Machine from Lowe's and was truly amazed at the results. It even removed ground in dirt from high traffic areas. The build quality is excellent and the machine is very easy to use.
Considering that most of the cheaper machines by every manufacturer don't seem to last more than a couple uses without problems, I've recommended this machine to friends and relatives who are interested in buying a steam cleaner. Most people would rather own the unit to eliminate the hassle of rental pickup and return so if their budget allows, I always tell them to get this one.
The machine is a little heavy to navigate but that's a minor problem for me. I'll enjoy having a clean carpet throughout my condo and hope this cleaner will be an excellent long-lasting investment.

About a year ago we had Stanley Steamer come clean our (1 year old) carpets and we were disappointed. They couldn't get a pet stain out and our carpets did not look any cleaner. We have since adopted 2 puppies who get excited and dribble as they walk. Our carpet was hideous. I rented the Big Green deep cleaning machine and did the carpets and couches. The pet stains came out, even the one the professionals couldn't do and our house looks and smells new.

This machine is easy to use, easy tanks to use and carry, and does a good job of cleaning. But I have one BIG complaint. It leaves big balls of fuzz all over the floor! I had read about this complaint in other reviews. AND it's described in the ops manual! I want to clean the carpet, let it dry, and then enjoy the clean carpet. But no... there is still more work to do before you're done. I do not like that. Why can't this machine "pick up after itself"?

I am a professional carpet cleaner for about, 20yr. and can say this machine really works, but it can be better with a little more work, but i like it!! i have one and it do clean like the big boys; it just need heat in it and it will be the best machine out there .!!!

Amazing machine, does not water log the carpet and dried within a couple hours. This machine did better than Zerorez carpet cleaners who we paid $200 to clean our carpets last time. I am so impressed I am going to buy one. Definitely recommend! I wish Costco would carry them!!!

First, Thank you Bissell. You have engineered the best carpet cleaning machine money can buy. After my first use of this machine on our white carpet it proved to me that nothing else will ever do a better job. I have been using the original and very first BIG GREEN CLEANING MACHINE I was given as a gift in 1995. It lasted without a single repair for 3 houses, 4 kids, 4 dogs, 3 cats and what must be without a doubt miles of carpet cleaning. Last month the trigger handle started to leak and to my great dismay the replacement part was no longer made just less than a year ago. Searched like crazy to find a part on line you name it, they are gone. :( So with that I decided to get a new machine. I bought and tried 3 other machines. They all went back to the store. They DO NOT hold enough cleaning solution. I'm telling you about the old machine simply because it gives credit to my Bissell experience with one great machine for 17 years. It still runs mind you. Just has a leaking trigger handle. Ok, moving on, the new Big Green cleaned several high traffic areas that nothing has ever been able to clean. Even after a good effort with the old machine could not clean the new BIG GREEN made my white carpet like new again. The ground in dirt is now gone. I took pictures on my phone as I cleaned the floor to message my wife and show her the results. I was shocked. I kept saying as I was cleaning "You are a total beast." If you use the Bissell high end cleaner and spend time going over the high traffic areas this thing will clean it. Also, I never even broke a sweat. The BIG GREEN did all the work. NO regrets. Like every other review it is worth every dollar. You get what you pay for with this machine. If I see bad reviews of this machine I would seriously question them. It is simple to use and a simple design that should last and clean for years to come. It paid for itself the first time I used it because I thought I was going to need to buy new carpet. Not anymore. They have been deep cleaned by the beast and I have pictures to prove it. :)
