Shower Curtain
-
Keep the shower curtain liner inside the shower.
- Replace
shower curtain liners periodically.
- If your shower has a door, be sure it is water tight.
- Keep
shower doors clean. Remove soap scum from the tracks and
clean those areas thoroughly.
After Showering
- Drip
awhile or towel dry before stepping out of the shower
or tub.
- Operate
a small fan to mix bathroom air after showering to speed
drying.
- Be
sure your bathroom is adequately ventilated by a window,
and exhaust fan, or both.
- Keep
bathroom door open after you take a shower to allow for
faster drying and evaporation time.
Cleaning
- To
minimize mold growth, you can clean bathroom surfaces
with a mild bleach solution (be sure to wear a proper
mask and ventilate outside the room).
- Keep
bathroom rugs and bath mats dry. Wash them periodically.
- Check
under sink for leaking water. If water leaks into a wooden
cupboard below, it can cause rotting wood and mold.
- Be
sure to vacuum the bathroom at least once a week to remove
hair, lint and other debris.
Storage
-
All medicine/pills should be kept in a locked cabinet or on
a high shelf that is out of the reach of small children.
